Hi! My name is Dakota. I’m 18 years old and recently moved to Santa Cruz in December. Working with kids is something I genuinely love and have been doing for most of my life. Prior to moving to Santa Cruz, I was a huge part of raising and caring for my niece (7), nephew (8), and little sister who turns 3 this year. Being around kids has always come naturally to me, and I truly enjoy creating a fun, safe, loving, and supportive environment where they feel comfortable being themselves. I also previously cared for a family with a 1-year-old and a 3 year old, which gave me even more hands-on experience with different ages, routines, and personalities. I’m very active and love getting kids outside for walks, park trips, beach days, and little adventures, but I also love slower indoor activities like painting, coloring, puzzles, play dough, reading stories, and creative play. I’m totally comfortable with low or zero screen time, but I’m also flexible with whatever works best for your family! A little about me, I have my license, a clean driving record, and a reliable SUV. I graduated high school in June 2025 and eventually plan to attend cosmetology school, but for now I’m focused on working and finding a family that feels like a great fit.
