I’ve spent the last few years as a third-grade teacher in Burbank, and I’m currently taking some time away from the classroom to focus on personal projects and plan my wedding with my partner of 8 wonderful years! I hold degrees in Science and Art, along with a Master’s in Education—so I’m well-prepared to help with homework and offer tutoring in a variety of subjects. I genuinely love supporting kids as they grow, learn, and gain confidence. As an artist, I’ve worked with all kinds of materials—from clay and collage to painting and stained glass. I’m always excited to bring creativity into my time with kids, whether that means getting messy with an art project or exploring the outdoors. I'm the oldest of my family including 40 first cousins. Kids were always around when I was growing up, and I always loved to take care of my cousins. I also grew up out in the woods with tons of dogs, pet chickens, and I learned to care for animals from a young age. As I got older, I became the main caretaker for my nephew who is 3 and the rest of my family is a bit jealous of how he gravitates towards me. I have never lost that childhood love of play, and I think that is what makes me an amazing caretaker, I know how to get on a level playing field with a kid and make even the hardest tasks fun and challenging.
