Dear urbansitter families,
I’ve been a teacher for nine years, and a caregiver for eight plus years. I have seventeen years of teaching experience. I’m thirty-three and more than half of my life has been in a caregiver role from assisting my mom with her Daycare growing up. I’ve changed infants’ diapers all the way to tutoring at the college level, to everything in between of; potty training special education middle schooled students. I’m accommodating, adaptable, and flexible. I’m also a problem solver and solution finder. My philosophy that I believe in is; giving the bully a timeout until their ready to play. I’m looking for full-time work and even overtime of after school hours, child care. I’m local from Ventura, have lived in Santa Barbara for eight years, Ojai for three years, and Malibu for one year. I’ve been a Paraeducator with Ojai, Goleta, and Ventura Unified School Districts, and with Special Education Department in Ojai, Goleta, and Pleasant Valley. I bought a tiny house when I was twenty five. I'm willing to relocate and be a live in Nanny for the right fit. I know how to provide instructional tools if there is a need be, and to first work with what I got material wise. I’m highly organized making me; coordinated, efficient, effective, and able to prioritize tasks. I’m a Certified Project Manager through PROCORE, and like cleaning. I've also cleaned kitchens, floors, bathrooms, room, toilets, and have done dishes and laundry. I’m CPR Certified, VIRTUS trained, HSA Basic Pest Management in the School and Child Care Settings trained, Mandated Child Abuse Reporting Educated, and Physical Requirements Attestation Certified. Each day I start with an open mind and I’m always eager and willing to learn new things. Everyday is a new opportunity to learn something new.
