Booked by 2 families in Valley Village, CA

Hi!! My name is Silvia and I’m a bilingual (English & Spanish) artist and musician with a background in education and child development. I'm offering child care, senior care and household services. I truly enjoy caring for children and have experience with babies, toddlers, and older kids. I’ve worked as a music teacher and songwriting coach for kids and I love bringing creativity and play into my time with them whether it’s singing songs, doing crafts or helping with homework. I'm good at cooking and I also have great skills at driving. I’m responsible, caring and energetic, and I’m happy to help with school pick-ups, meal prep, light cleaning or bedtime routines. I'm pretty sure we will have fun together! I’ve also cared for my own grandparents and I'm comfortable supporting seniors with daily tasks, companionship or errands. I’m very patient and respectful and love listening to their stories. I’m pet-friendly and have experience taking care of dogs and cats. I'll be happy to adapt to your family’s unique needs.

“Silvia was early and made us feel so comfortable. She didn’t have too much to do with the baby asleep, but I’m sure she’d be great if he needed her!”

Ava

$30 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Valley Village, CA

Hi! I’m a recent UC Berkeley graduate currently continuing my education through a post-graduate certificate program, and I’m looking for a consistent nannying position that works well with my class schedule. I grew up in Marin and will be relocating to Los Angeles at the beginning of November. I have several years of experience working with children and families and would love to find a family I can build a consistent, long-term relationship with while completing my certificates.

“We feel so blessed to have found Ava to help care for our son. She is kind, smart, responsible, and very reliable. Our son instantly warmed up to Ava, and that is not what always happens. He felt comfortable with her, and so did we almost immediately. She is very easy going and creates an overall calm atmosphere in our home. She finds creative ways to play with our son, she takes him to the park and let's him explore while always being there to guide him, she reads to him, she plays water games outside with him when it's warm, she builds little forts and play stations for him while he naps for him to wake up to, and she even walks our chihuahua for us while our son naps. She is never on her phone while caring for our son, ever. And she's just a nice person. We wish we had met Ava earlier, but we are so happy to have met her now. We couldn't ask for a better and more professional caregiver, and anyone would be lucky to get to work with her.”

From the first time she babysat for us, she made everything feel effortless—she communicated clearly, arrived on time, and immediately built a great connection with my child. She follows instructions perfectly, keeps the home organized, and always checks in with updates so we feel at ease while we’re away. Jannet is calm, patient, and incredibly responsible. $18 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Valley Village, CA

Hi Families! 😊 My name is Wednesday. I have babysat multiple times for close family and friends. And just started babysitting professionally about a month ago. I enjoy being a babysitter because it’s a fun environment to be in ! My past jobs have always been working in the kitchen as a cook or customer service, but it didn’t feel fulfilling . I’ve always had a passion working with children. So I am excited that I finally get to do so! I have a child of my own as well. So I feel like I have plenty experience. I consider myself, responsible, trustworthy, and reliable. I am very attentive when it comes to children. I am definitely here to help. Feel free to message me!

“On time, very loving and attentive. Open and willing to help in any matters needed not just with the children, but with the parents as well. A “team member” qualities. ”

Anna $35 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Valley Village, CA

Hi! I'm Anna and I love children! I love children so much because they are the most brilliant, hilarious, honest, authentic human beings. It is an honor to be entrusted with supporting them as they learn how to navigate this complex world. I taught pre-school at Play Mountain Place ( a Play School in LA since 1949) for four years. After which, I worked as a Nanny for 15 years. I worked with one family with two daughters ( ages 2 and 5 at start date) for four years, followed by a family with one daughter ( age 1 at start date) for six years. I most recent worked with a family with 5 year old triplets, for 5 years ( I met them on this site!) I have 12 units of Early Childhood Education course work. I also have a Yoga Teacher Certification with a specialty in yoga with children and Pre-Natal Yoga. My childcare philosophy is relationship driven. I believe in forging a strong connection with mutual respect and using Non-Violent Communication to resolve any conflicts. I love child led activities. I believe in play and natural consequences as learning tools. I use limits and balancing individual needs with group/family needs rather than discipline. I am imaginative, yet practical. Free and fair. I would love to meet you and your family!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
