Lilly $25 per hour for 1 child

I’m the oldest of seven, so caregiving has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a single-parent home, I naturally stepped in to help my mom with everything from homework and bedtime routines to meals and keeping the house running. Those early years taught me how to be patient, responsible, and calm under pressure, and they’re a huge reason why I’m so comfortable working with kids today. Outside of my own family, I’ve spent time caring for children in my community and during college. I worked at youth camps and served as a counselor, leading activities, helping kids build friendships, and supporting them through the ups and downs of being young. I also worked with the Boys and Girls Club, mentoring kids both academically and socially. Those experiences helped me develop my own style of caregiving — warm, creative, and centered around helping each child feel seen and capable. I recently graduated from college, and my education helped strengthen my communication and leadership skills. I love finding ways to connect with kids individually, whether that’s through reading together, exploring their interests, or creating simple learning moments in everyday tasks. As a caregiver, I’m dependable, gentle, and adaptable. I don’t come in just to supervise; I like to really learn each child’s personality, what comforts them, what excites them, and how to support their growth. I’m also great with busy households and don’t mind pitching in with things like meal prep, light cleaning, organizing, homework help, errands, or pet care. I’ve been doing those things my whole life. I have over 7 years of experience caring for children from infancy through age 15, and I’ve had the privilege of nannying for multiple families with diverse needs and personalities. I’m open to both live-in and full-time roles depending on the family’s needs. More than anything, I care about building trust, creating a calm and happy environment, and making life a little easier for the families I work with.

I am writing to introduce myself as a driven compassionate Nanny/Caregiver who has expectations of communication and childcare skills. owing to my extensive childcare and household .my goal as a Nanny is to take care of children, help them grow, and watch over them have fun! If I can describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am dependable, honest, a hard worker, a good listener, and kind.. something personal about me is that I love animals...

Lourdes was an excellent caregiver, she took care of my daughter for a whole year. She did many activities with her, and my daughter was really happy to have her around. Lourdes is very reliable and has a great personality. I would recommend Lourdes to anyone that is looking for a kind, fun, caring and thoughtful caregiver.

Machandel $27 per hour for 1 child

Hi I'm Machandel (pronounced Ma-han-del). I've worked in childcare with kids of all ages, (two yr old room, four yr old room and K-5) but spent the most time being the lead teacher for the school-aged kids classroom at a daycare center (after school and all day during the summers). I also hold a certificate for completing a 45-hour childcare development course called "Early care, Education and family support”, and have been CPR certified in the past. More recently, I’ve extensively studied nervous system regulation and somatic practices which has given me gentle tools to help children stay calm, secure and feel emotionally supported. Im a huge animal lover and have a cat at home, but I grew up with dogs so I’m very comfortable interacting and caring for them as well. I love being outdoors, going on walks, playing board games and being creative. I’m looking for a consistent role (around 25+ hours/week) with 1-2 kids. I’m happy to help with homework, fix simple meals, plan art projects, run errands, care for pets, and tidy up after the kids. Please feel free to reach out if you think I'd be a good fit for your family. :) **45 hour course certification & letter of recommendation from childcare center available upon request**

Nikki $40 per hour for 1 child

Hello! I just moved to Santa Monica and am starting my search for a nanny and/or household manager position. I recently completed my master's degree in nutrition and am excited to bring my energy, education, and passion for childcare into a new role! Since 2019, I've worked with a professional nannying agency in Bozeman, MT. I have experience with part-time nannying, date-night care, overnight stays, and travel/vacation nannying. In addition to over 10 years of childcare experience, I have also taught children's tennis and windsurfing camps and coached a youth soccer team. I live an active, health-conscious lifestyle and believe in leading by example: encouraging kids to explore healthy habits, confidence, and creativity through play and daily life. I provide child-led, engaging care that nurtures emotional growth, curiosity, and independence. I'm adaptable, dependable, and calm under pressure. Please reach out if you feel like we could be a good match!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
