Hi, I’m Sonia I have a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Adolescent Development with a focus on Elementary Teaching at San Francisco State University. I’ve been working toward a career in education for over five years, and I truly enjoy supporting children as they learn and grow. I have strong hands-on experience working with infants and young children, and I’m especially confident in caring for babies and supporting their early development. I’ve worked as a lead teacher in an infant classroom, where I was responsible for maintaining routines, supporting feeding and diapering, soothing, and creating a calm, safe, and nurturing environment. Along with my infant experience, I’ve also worked with children up to age five and as a substitute teacher in a variety of classroom settings, which has helped me adapt to different needs and personalities. In my current role as a teacher, I create engaging and supportive environments where children feel comfortable exploring and learning. I enjoy activities like sensory play, reading, music, and simple crafts that support early development in a fun and meaningful way. I value clear communication with families and believe every child deserves patience, attention, and care. I’m also fluent in Spanish, which allows me to connect with a wider range of families. Outside of work, I love spending time with animals and have experience caring for dogs of all sizes.

Hi - My name is Brittany I've been a nanny for 12 years and I'm bilingual in Spanish and English. I've also been a teacher in a Montessori preschool from ages 2-6 years old. I was enrolled for two years at Santa Monica City College, and LACC took 4 child development classes and have 12 units in child development. I’ve always been drawn to working with and learning about development of children of all ages. I started by watching my 3 younger siblings and then moved on to babysitting children family friends and now I've been a nanny for many families. The Montessori preschool has allowed me to better understand children, increase my ability to engage and play with children, and manage anywhere from 1-18 children at once. I am very enthusiastic, playful, can remain calm in stressful situations, and as compassionate as can be. If it’s nice out, I love to go for walks, visit a local park, or play in your backyard! If the day requires us to stay inside I enjoy playing games of all sorts and doing arts and crafts. I also have a clean driving record and can take the child to storytimes, museums, farmers markets, or other activities as long as I'm provided with a car seat and parents are comfortable with me taking their child to places. I love to keep and open and honest communication with parents and when I'm out with their child I like to keep a group chat with parents to share pictures and videos to involve parents in what we are doing. Please let me know if you have any questions and I can’t wait to meet your family! I have great references and if needed message me and I can message you back with all the references I have, CPR certification and resume. I also have a clean background check and motor vehicle check.

Beau-Blue 2 reviews
Los Angeles
$23 per hour for 1 child

Hello, my name is Beau-Blue. I recently turned 30 and am a dedicated, hardworking professional with dual U.K. and U.S. citizenship and a lifelong background in childcare and pet care. At age 12, my mother opened a daycare in our family home. By 16, I was formally trained and verified to assist her in emergency situations, and the summer I turned 17, I worked alongside her full-time. During that time, I obtained Infant through Adult CPR certification and became a certified lifeguard under Ofsted regulations. I continued working with her for four additional consecutive years, maintaining all certifications while balancing those responsibilities with a full-time position in customer service and hospitality, until I relocated in 2017. In 2017, I moved to the United States to work at Camp Vega in Maine as an in-bunk camp counselor. I served as a “den mother” to children ages 5–8 and also taught photography and videography to campers ranging from 5–15 years old. In 2018, I relocated to Los Angeles. Alongside continuing my career in customer service and hospitality, I worked as a nanny for working families (including colleagues) and subsequently through word-of-mouth referrals. Professional references are available upon request. My responsibilities extended well beyond basic childcare. They included school pick-ups and drop-offs, transportation to extracurricular activities (with a vehicle provided), preparing nutritious snacks and full meals while accommodating dietary restrictions and allergies, assisting with homework and school projects, and managing structured bedtime routines. I am equally comfortable supporting morning routines. Additionally, I am happy to assist with light household errands as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the home. I truly enjoy working alongside families and bring my own attentive, nurturing approach to create a happy, healthy, and engaging environment for children. I look forward to getting to know yours.

Beau is amazing with kids! She’s attentive, yet easy going. She’s able to tap into her child like wonder to help your child learn and grow all while having fun. She’s punctual and holds herself to a high standard of professionalism in all of her responsibilities. She’s very compassionate and kindhearted. I’ve known her to help complete strangers, especially when children are involved. She’s the kind of person to give you the shirt off her back with a smile on her face because she knows she will also be taken care of in return. She’s great in a crisis if one were to ever arrive and she’s incredible at foreseeing possible outcomes of situations and choosing the best option for safety. I value my friendship with Beau immensely and will ask her to be the godmother of my future children.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
