$24 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 7 families in Wilmington, CA

Hello! My name is Jaylee and I’m 26 years old. I was born and raised in Long Beach, CA. I am the eldest of four siblings and have always taken on the responsibility of watching over my younger siblings. I have 4 years of experience babysitting for all ages. I am a teacher for Long Beach Unified School District and I earned my Master’s degree in Education. In addition, I worked for ACES, which is an autism treatment center, so I have experience working with kiddos that have special needs. Since I teach full time, I’m hoping to assist with one time services and/or I have flexibility with available hours needed in the evenings and during the summer. I am comfortable with pets, as I have a cat and dog of my own. I can cook, clean, help with school work and follow a schedule efficiently. CPR/First Aid certified for both pediatrics and adults. I understand how busy we all can get, and I would love to help out. :)

$29 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 5 families in Wilmington, CA

Hi there! My name is Elizabeth and I currently work at a school with children from ages 5yrs to 16yrs. I’ve been working there for over 20 years. I also used to have my own family child care and would care for children ages newborns and up. I opened up my own family child care because I enjoy working with children. My passion is making children happy and seeing them smile. I enjoy various outdoor activity including painting, dancing, singing, etc. I’ve worked at a senior center and have cared for senior family members. I enjoy helping others!

Elizabeth was able to jump right in and take in our hurried instructions for bedtime while we had to run out the door. She let us know how the kids were doing during the next few hours and was professional, courteous, and very skilled. She was not phased by our kids not wanting to have a babysitter and taking a while to warm up.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
