Hi - my name is Sam and I moved to LA two years ago. I had been working with my previous nanny family for a year and a half and am now looking for new families to work with. I am offering childcare, pet care, and household services. I started working with children when I was in middle school and began helping out at a family friend’s daycare and preschool. Since then, I have worked one on one babysitting for families since high school. I have experience with newborns, infants, toddlers, and school-aged children. I also have experience working as a dance teacher, teaching students from kindergarten to high school and managing classes up to 10 students. I am also happy to care for pets. I have mostly cared for dogs, but also have experience with cats and rodents. I am also available for housesitting!

We give Sam our highest and most enthusiastic recommendation. She has been with our family for nearly two years, and during that time she has proven herself to be an exceptional nanny and caregiver in every sense. Sam is consistently punctual, reliable, and a clear, thoughtful communicator. She manages our two children — currently a 2-year-old and a 6-month-old — with remarkable ease, confidence, and care. Whether engaging them in play, providing attentive and nurturing care, or planning age-appropriate learning activities, Sam brings patience, creativity, and genuine warmth to everything she does. She is equally capable both at home and out in the world. From organizing enriching indoor activities to confidently taking both girls out in a double stroller for trips to the park, Sam ensures they have opportunities to socialize, explore, and play — all while maintaining excellent safety awareness and judgment. Her ability to independently manage both children’s needs simultaneously is truly impressive. Sam also assists seamlessly with preparing simple breakfasts, lunches, and bottles, helps tidy up after playtime, and is excellent at managing sleep and nap schedules. She is organized, proactive, and always respectful of our routines and preferences. Beyond her skills, Sam is responsible, respectful, and deeply caring. She is affectionate and attentive with our children and has built a meaningful, loving bond with them. She has also been a joy for us to work with as parents — trustworthy, kind, and professional. While we are saddened that we won’t be able to have Sam with us as much moving forward, we know that the next family fortunate enough to work with her will be welcoming a truly special young woman into their home. She is all that and more as a nanny, and we cannot recommend her highly enough.

Parents who have entrusted me to care for their children, pets, homes have said that I have a natural ability to anticipate needs, stay calm under pressure, and create a safe, positive environment. I'm responsible, dependable, and genuinely enjoy spending time with children. As an actor and creative person, I love engaging kids through imaginative play, reading, arts and crafts, games, and outdoor activities. I'm also happy to help with homework, meal preparation, school pickups, bedtime routines, and light household tasks. My goal is to make children feel supported, safe, and encouraged while giving parents confidence that everything is being handled with care and attention. I am literally the go-to for random unanticipated scenarios. Forgot your bridesmaids dress in you car at the flyaway and need someone to go to your house, grab the key, find the car in the flyaway parking lot, grab the dress, drive to LAX, and hand it over to you? I’m your girl. Yes, that’s a true story and she made her flight! I was the hero of that wedding and I didn’t even know the bride or groom. I’m able to quickly assess what a situation needs to ensure a calm and safe environment for children. I’ve handled bed times for double date nights when the couples would be expected home late. One of their daughters (6) was having trouble sleeping. I checked in on her every 15 minutes after she went to bed and she’d be awake, but she told me she lies awake for a long time before actually being able to sleep. So I asked her to close her eyes and travel in her mind to a beach. She can hear her parents laughing in the background, her sister playing in the sand, she herself is lying down on the beach. The sound of the ocean is blurring all other conversation, the wind is singing through the air, birds can be heard faintly… I saw her pupils picturing everything through her closed eyelids when I first started the exercises, but the movement eventually slowed down to a stop and she was fast asleep. That’s probably the best off the cuff success story I have. Anyway, I hope to hear from you! Thank you for your consideration!

I’ve been babysitting for almost 4 years now. I started off with years of vacation bible school, then childcare at church every Sunday. I am very active personally so I like to do the same with the kids; art, reading, learning to cook, nature walks, etc. I have done senior care at a mental health facility as well, pet sitting, house sitting. I have very open availability as I’m attending college online. Can’t wait to meet you!

Hello,  I have worked as a helping hand for busy parents in prioritizing their kid's needs by showing them compassion and patience. Through my guidance, I can show them to be gentle and to help encourage them to become the best they can be. I also speak English, and Spanish and am currently learning a new language, Italian. In the course of being a nanny, I have taught children to speak Spanish.    I have five years of babysitting experience, but I have more than that. Growing up with siblings, I was my mother’s helper, and I could manage caring for multiple children at once. I ensure they’re engaged in exciting, safe, and educational activities.    My experiences and personal skills make me an ideal candidate for your family. I hope to hear from you soon.    Best Regards, Katie

Hi! I’m Elisabeth. I truly enjoy spending time with children and animals—especially dogs and cats. I believe they bring so much joy and positivity, and I love creating a safe, caring, and fun environment for them. Spanish is my first language (I’m from Argentina), and I’m happy to speak both Spanish and English with families. I’ve been caring for children since I was young, helping neighbors as well as my sister. After moving to Los Angeles, I gained experience working with infants, toddlers, and older children. I’m patient, responsible, and attentive to each child’s unique needs. I also bring 18 years of professional experience in a different field, which has strengthened my reliability, organization, and communication skills. I look forward to supporting your family!

Elisabeth was amazing with our 10 month old baby.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
