I have 5+ years of experience working with children through behavioral therapy, special education, summer camps, and children’s programs. I currently work as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), supporting children with autism and developmental needs through individualized treatment plans, learning activities, play, and positive behavior support.
Before becoming an RBT, I worked as a Special Education Paraprofessional in an elementary school, where I supported students with their IEP goals, academics, social skills, behavior, and personal-care needs, including bathroom assistance and G-tube feeding. I have also worked as a summer camp leader, supervising groups of children and leading games, crafts, activities, meals, and field trips.
Outside of my professional experience, I have volunteered with children’s programs for 9 years and have been a youth group leader for 4 years. I also live with my four nieces and one nephew and spend a lot of time with them. I genuinely enjoy being around children and getting to know their individual personalities, interests, and needs.
I would describe myself as patient, dependable, creative, organized, and calm under pressure. While I am new to private nannying, I bring a lot of hands-on childcare and special-needs experience and understand the responsibility that comes with caring for someone else’s children.
I plan to begin a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant program in September 2027. My experience working with children is a big part of why I chose this career path, and until then, I would love the opportunity to provide a family with dependable, engaging, and attentive care.
