Hello Families! Like most of us, I have been babysitting long before I was getting paid to do so, and I've always enjoyed it. I have 8 years of professional/paid babysitting experience under my belt and I love my jobs! I also have volunteer hours at orphanages and pre-k classrooms, which were very educative and fulfilling. Hi! I'm Kathryn - kids call me KP. Friends have also referred to me as Aunt Kathryn, Baby Whisperer and Better Mommy. (That last one comes from a pretty specific sense of humor!). My very first job was babysitting when I was 11. I worked my way through high school and college as a nanny, babysitter and camp counselor. Professionally I’m a consultant (political, program, operations), but I also want to remain a camp counselor forever so I spend a significant amount of my time helping families in the DC area.
