Gessyca 1 review
$25 per hour for 1 child

My name is Gessyca and I'm 31 years old. I started out as teacher assistant and then switched to ESL teacher but fell into childcare a few years ago and love it so much! My favorite age groups are infants, toddlers and first graders, but I have experience with most ages. I'm looking for a full time position, preferably a long term option. I'm CPR certified, and I have years of experience driving. My focus is on giving your child a safe, routine-focused, and creative space to learn and grow into a wonderful person. I love doing seasonal crafts, pretend play, dancing, encouraging independent time, and outdoor activities. I'm firm but kind, and will work with you on any challenges your child may come to. In my personal time I enjoy going for a walk and exploring new spots in town or playing board games with my friends. I love to sing and travel too! I look forward to hearing from you.

Gessyca is truly the only person I trust my daughter besides her father. She always goes above and beyond to make my toddler laugh, play, eat and rest. She is very professional and reliable, her school experience makes everything flow seamlessly. There’s something soothing about her that makes my very strong willed toddler calm down and participate in the activities without a big power struggle. My favorite thing about Gessyca is that she’s down for WHATEVER: dance party? She will press play. Arts and crafts? Yes, ma’am. Nap time? The baby relaxing playlist is on. Storytime? In 2 different languages. The first time she worked with us was when my baby was 8 months old and now that she is 2, i cannot tell her when Gessyca is coming beforehand because her excitement level is hard to contain. You’re really missing out if don’t hire here.

Looking forward to the opportunity to support your family and create positive experiences for your little ones!

It's with much pleasure that I’d like to recommend Ana as a babysitter. She has watched my two children (ages 4 and 7) four times a week for the last 6 months. Ana consistently arrived at our home on time, ready to engage with our kids, with a smile on. She's kind, compassionate, and intelligent. My children really look forward to spending time with Ana and they also look up to her as a role model. Ana is still currently working with us approximately 4 times a week. Ana is fully certified in CPR and First Aid, and has also completed a babysitting course, in addition to her natural talent when it comes to childcare. If you choose to hire Ana, you can be confident that you're getting one of the best babysitters around. You don't have to worry about a babysitter who will just sit and watch TV, Ana is very engaging with kids and earns her fee.

Thanat 1 review
$15 per hour for 1 child

I have 4 years of childcare experience including 2 years as an Au pair. I love being around children, and I am so obviously enjoyed interacting with them. I am responsible, focus, gentle, neat and be on time. I am full vaccinated. I have my own transportation and would love to discuss job responsibilities/expectations

Benz (Thanat) is amazing! He took care of my son, 5 days a week from ages 2-3 and has become part of the family. My son tells me frequently how much he loves Benz and how Benz plays the best games. He is reliable, caring, and can match energy with the calmest or wildest of kids. I was nervous how my son would do switching from all female care takers (other than his Dad) to a male sitter/nanny and I can say Benz was perfect. They would go on daily walks through the neighborhood and he kept my son happily entertained while we worked from home. Any family that gets to work with Benz is lucky and we are looking forward to our special Benz visits! Coming back to update, after having several different nanny/sitters since my son started preschool, I have really come to appreciate Benz even more. He is amazing reliable and responsible. In the year he was with us, he was never more than a few minuets late (due to the buses on the only road in and out of our neighborhood) and I always heard from him when he had any issues or questions. He is a wonderful person and a extraordinary sitter. My son talks about him almost every day and how much he loves him.

$22 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 5 families in Washington Navy Yard, DC

Hello Family ! My name is Sarah and I'm a business administration major at Marymount University with extensive background in child care. As the eldest of seven children, I was often entrusted with the care of my younger siblings while our parents were at work. This formative experience gave me a natural talent for ensuring the happiness and safety of youngsters. I find it fun to interact with children and provid them fun and instructive activities. Whether working with infants, preschoolers, or teenagers, I am able to modify my approach to best suit the needs of each age group. To further ease your load, I can also, cook simple meals. Having my own car makes it easy and simple for me to drive the kids to their various appointments and activities. Having the opportunity to care for your children is something I am very happy about.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
