Hi families I’m Ali I have a Communication science degree and I’ve been a babysitter/nanny for over 10 years. I’m a Spanish speaker so if you want your children to learn another language I’d be so happy to help. I worked for 2.5 years as an AuPair taking care of children from 3 different families ( 7 months old to 13 years old) I had a great experience with all the families and kids. My last full time job ended after almost 2 years of taking care of a beautiful baby girl who now is in pre-k but I still babysit her constantly. In my last two jobs I watched babies, a 3 months old baby boy and then another 3 months old baby girl. My schedule is very flexible and I’m available on weekends as well. Thanks

Profile: Hi my name is Raquel, I’m fluent in both English and Spanish. My first language is Spanish and I find great pleasure introducing children language skills like Spanish, with their parents’ consent of course. I am also AA in Early Childhood Education. I’m an experienced nanny that has been working with families and their children for 24 years. I’m easy going, warm and loving, I care for children as they were my own. I have worked mostly with DC residents but also travel to Virginia from time to time. I hold a clean drivers record, CPR certificate and good references from people that I have worked over the years. I believe I am a good Nanny because, I focus on getting to know the child’s temperament and establish a loving and respectful bond that is naturally mutual between the children and me. I provide opportunities for children to grow and learn in a save environment setting. I help children develop their identity and self-confidence. Through-out the day we also visit many local playgrounds, libraries, play groups and community activities. Also, for indoor activities, I engage children with books, art, music, self-caring and biological development as feeding, sleeping and diaper change. I only expose children to TV if it’s part of the parents’ routine otherwise, TV is not a necessity during my time with them. In addition of caring and providing learning opportunities for children, as part of my responsibility, I keep the play area and the kitchen neat, clean the child’s laundry and keep their room clean. I would be happy to continue to converse about my work experience and my character if you requested.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
