Hi! My name is Julia and I am 26 and live in Georgetown! I currently work remote in consulting in DC and I am looking for babysitting gigs on the weekends and after work starting around 6pm on weekdays. I am originally from Maryland and I have been consistently babysitting/nannying for a family with three children since I was about 13 years old. In Richmond when I attended the University of Richmond, I babysat a family with two young boys throughout the school year, I took them to school each morning and picked them up every afternoon. In Maryland, I also use a similar app called Napp where I have helped a number of families with childcare. I have plenty of experience with children of all ages, I have taken care of a newborn at the age of 4 weeks and up to kids in their teens! I am responsible, extremely organized, and just absolutely love kids! I would love to help families out in the DC-area!

Hello! My name is Jackie and I have over 10 years experience full time nannying, babysitting, and working at a daycare. Throughout college I nannied part time for twins starting at age 4 months until 2 years of age. I also nannied full time over the summer for children between the ages of 18 months and 10 years. Throughout my graduate degree, I part time nannied for elemenatary school children, where I drove them to their after school activities and prepared dinner for them. I am comfortable and experienced watching children from the newborn to preteen ages. Additionally, I am an experienced biology teacher and I’m happy to tutor/teach children in biology, chemistry, physics, and math. I look forward to working with you!

Jackie is reliable, punctual and professional!

Owethu Washington
$24 per hour for 1 child

Hi , I’m Owethu. I’m a warm, organized and experienced childcare professional with hands on experience caring for children from infancy through preschool. I spent 2 years working as an au pair with a 10-year-old, taught 4-5-year-olds in a preschool setting, and worked as a professional nanny for an infant for one year. I also regularly handle school pick ups and drop offs and stay with children until parents return. I hold a degree in Logistics Management, which supports my strengths in routine-building, time management and keeping households running smoothly. As a stay at home mom, I currently bring my 12-month-old with me to work (he has attended with me since 4 months old), so I'm comfortable balancing my child's needs alongside the children I care for while maintaining a safe, calm environment. References available upon request, happy to discuss availability and any specific family needs.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
