Casey 1 review
$25 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Washington, DC

Hello, I’m Casey! Like many others in DC, I was recently laid off. I’m using this as a chance to take a break from 9-5 desk life, pursue other passions, and spend time with loved ones. During this break, I’m eager to get back into childcare, which I did during and after college, and absolutely loved. I have experience with kids from a few months old to middle schoolers, as everything from a date night sitter to full-time nanny. I’m a hands-on, involved babysitter, who will be out in the yard playing with kids instead of sitting back and watching them. I love sports, arts & crafts, educational activities, and can help with homework. I love pets and am open to light chores. I have access to a car and have a clean driving record. I’m open to occasional or regular opportunities in the DMV (metro accessible or up to a 30 min drive). My rate starts at $25/hour and varies by ages and number of children and travel time from my home in NE DC. Please reach out with any questions or to request references!

Casey was a pleasure to work with! Experienced, professional, and great with our 13-month-old son. Would definitely recommend to anyone with toddlers!

Hello, my name is Jenna and I have been a caregiver and working with children for most of my life! I am a teacher and am starting my graduate program at Georgetown University in July! I have experience with children of all ages and needs, including 1-on-1 experience working with children with disabilities. I am going to be living in NYC for the last week of April and the full month of May. I am looking for as much consistent work as I can get. In addition to being an educator, I grew up with many cousins and as the oldest sibling often had to watch over the younger family members. I am patient, communicative, loyal, organized, nurturing, flexible, and love children. I also have had pets my whole life and enjoy furry friends of many kinds. I am CPR certified, know how to meal prep and cook, love to be outside, clean, organized, love to craft, and more.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
