Hi, I'm responsible, punctual, and very caring. I do not drink or smoke at all. I have over 10 years of experience with children, ranging from newborns to teenagers. I love introducing the children I babysit to the different languages I speak. Arts and crafts, outside play, walking to the library, games and reading are activities I enjoy when babysitting. I am excited to meet you and your children!

She was wonderful. Our little one was being a bit moody and I thought it might be a screen night, but she got him to calm down and play, which was outstanding! By the time we came home our little one was happy and asked to see her again.

Hello families my name is Nakya and I was born and raise in Washington DC. I am very excited to have the opportunity to be part of your family. I have work in the daycare facilities for over 14 years with 10 years experience as a CDA licensed childcare provider specializing in the care of children ranging in age from newborns to teens. I am CPR and first aide certified with special early child care training. also working towards fulfilling my passion in special-education. My favorite Learning activity to do with the children is the five senses I loved this activity because it gives me a chance to watch the children explore their sense while learning all about their five sense. I also enjoy reading, arts and crafts, and engaging in fun creative indoor/outdoor activities that children will find entertaining and fulfilling. My hobbies are writing poetry, reading books and spending time with my family and friends... working with children is my passion and I loved every bit of it.

Nakya was our first care taker for our son (and our first as parents), from the time he was 4 months old to 18 months. She was especially sweet & gentle with a young infant, which was very endearing. As our son grew -- and we added a second family to a nanny share -- Nakya's experience with a wide range of ages became very helpful. She had respectful tips to offer us as the boys grew and developed. Adult-to-adult, Nakya is engaging, energetic, and talkative. And just as she had helpful advice to give, she was very open to feedback. The only reason we don't still employ Nakya is the covid-19 pandemic; we don't currently need childcare. Thank you for everything, Nakya!

I am an active 63 year old woman who was born in Buffalo, NY. My educational background includes a BA in English education and I taught elementary school before becoming a reading specialist. I left teaching to join the American Red in New York as the Assistant Director of Blood Services. I am the mother of two happy, healthy and highly successful sons. As the years passed, I volunteered as a after school tutor, taught Sunday school and supported many families with child care. I have great passion for supporting families in being successful raising this precious new generation. I enjoy the opportunity to nurture infants as they grow and change each day. Most babies appreciate a little rocking and a soft, sweet song. Toddlers to preschoolers bring me laughter. Their energy and openness to imagination games, a walk to count puppies, a trip to discover new books at the library or having a dance party. School age children have already well defined interests. If they enjoy piano, I make a great audience or if they have an interest in basketball, we'll be at the hoop or if they prefer baking, I'll help them discover new recipes. My goal is to support growing families by fitting into your plans and needs.

Margaret was absolutely lovely! She watched our two year old and was fantastic with him - he felt immediately at ease with her and she even brought him toys to play with - a special treat especially when traveling with a toddler! We were lucky to book her for two days and she was comfortable playing in our hotel room with him and also taking him on a stroller walk. She was an absolute delight, professional, on time, and our son enjoyed spending time with her. She immediately put us at ease and we were able to enjoy a family wedding weekend without worrying. Highly recommend Margaret!

Hi. My name is Tabitha. I am from Washington DC. I have a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education from Temple University. I have worked in childcare for about 4 years. I am currently working as a lead teacher in a childcare center but looking to transition to a nanny position. I have had many babysitting gigs in the past. I love working with children and I love to help out families.

We had a great experience with Tabitha, when she was available last minute and great with the kids. I would hire her again.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
