Booked by 1 family in Washington, DC

Hi! My name is Epiphany and I have been a teacher for the last 5 years. I am originally from Nashville, TN, but have been in the DMV area for the last 7 years now. My passion for wanting to educate children came from simply always being around children and seeing what their wants and needs are. Children are my passion and I have worked with all ages on many different levels. Babysitting is just another way for me to show children that they are allowed to be kids! I will support their learning process, all while having a blast! I always like to come with a babysitting bag that includes toys, coloring books, games, and even arts and crafts supplies, with permission of course. My bag also includes a jacket, umbrella, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and disposable wipes. I can be very flexible and open with scheduling as well. Some fun things about me: I love to sing, exercise, cook, and most importantly eating!

Epiphany is AMAZING! She is reliable, trustworthy, thoughtful, and a great communicator.

Veronica $25 per hour for 1 child

👋🏽Hi! I have extensive experience working with children of all ages, from 3 months to 12 years old. I started at a kids academy where I led creative activities, games, and age-appropriate play. I'm currently a full-time nanny for two school-aged boys, and I also frequently babysit for local families in my neighborhood. Through babysitting, I've cared for children as young as infants, and I'm a regular sitter for a family with a 10 month old and 3-year-old. Because of this, I'm very comfortable adapting to different age groups and their unique needs, especially with babies and toddlers, where I have the most hands-on experience. What I love most about working with kids is that every child is so different. I really enjoy getting to know their personalities, interests, and what makes them feel comfortable, and then tailoring activities and routines to fit them. I'm very hands-on, patient, and naturally energetic. I love being outside, staying active, and keeping kids engaged-whether that's playing games, doing crafts, or just making everyday routines fun. I bring a calm, positive energy while still being someone kids can have fun with and trust. I'm also very clean and organized, and I always make sure to leave a home better than I found it. I genuinely enjoy being a caregiver and creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment for kids.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
