My current experience in care-giving is helping take care of my best friend's 2-year old baby girl (She's a single mother with no family around). I have spent half and full days with her alone. I also helped care for her throughout her young life. We have a very tight, and loving bond. The reference can be provided by her mother if needed. I also babysat an 8 year old girl and her 2 year old brother (focusing on her) back in high school. But I understand that experience may not be relevant anymore. I do have a genuine, God given love for children. Caring for them, listening to them, and being around them. I never had the means to finish higher education but I was a great student all throughout the schooling I did receive. My eagerness to learn is still very much here. So whatever your needs for your child may be, I will do my best to accommodate them. My approach with children is to treat them with kindness, gentleness, structure, and to listen/observe for their needs. I am moving to west Florida towards the end of the year. Hi! I’m Victoria, and caring for children has been a passion of mine for many years. I currently work as a Nursing Assistant in Labor & Delivery, where I have the opportunity to support mothers, newborns, and families during such an important time in their lives. My experience in healthcare has made me especially attentive to safety, patience, communication, and providing compassionate care. I have been babysitting since I was 17 and have experience caring for children of different ages. I also spent three years as a cheerleading coach working with children ages 5–15 and have worked with children in summer camp settings. These experiences taught me how to keep children engaged, create a fun and positive environment, manage routines, and adapt to each child’s individual personality and needs. I have a special love for babies and young children and hope to continue building my career around caring for mothers, infants, and families. I plan to begin additional training in postpartum and newborn care, with the goal of becoming a postpartum doula and expanding my knowledge even further.
