Hi all, my name is Sara! I've lived in Chicago since I was 4 years old and absolutely love the city. I graduated from UIC College Prep and earned my bachelor's in business management from Hope College in Holland, MI. During college, I started volunteering in my church's kids' ministry and quickly realized how much I enjoy working with children. This led me to become the childcare coordinator at BLVD Church, where I worked for two years. In that role, I organized and led classrooms of up to 20 children ranging from nursery to elementary age. I was responsible for developing lesson plans, managing volunteers, keeping kids engaged and safe, and communicating with parents-all at the same time. This experience really helped me grow in multitasking, quick problem solving, and staying calm under pressure. I also babysat regularly for several families from BLVD during college, which allowed me to work with children of all ages and personalities. After graduating in May 2024, I moved back to Chicago and cared part-time for two boys, ages 1 and 5, for about 7 months. I am currently working full-time as a Financial Aid Assistant at a university, but I continue to look for opportunities to care for little ones because it's something I truly love and feel gifted in. As a caregiver, I bring a patient, compassionate, and responsible presence.
