Tara 1 review
$20 per hour for 1 child

I am a mother and grandmother and love spending time with them 😃 I was an assistant pre -K teacher at Ravenswood Elementary specializing in Reggio Emilia as well as working in the after school program teaching arts and crafts . I am also a chef / food stylist . I taught at The Chopping Block for 5 years specializing in children’s classes and am able to help with meal prep if needed .

I can’t say enough good things about Tara and her love for our 22-month old daughter, Ava. Tara has helped watch Ava for a little over a year now and has such a sweet bond with Ava. Tara is someone we trust and she has even spent the night at our house to take care of Ava overnight while we were away. She is caring, playful, mindful and overall a great caregiver. Can’t recommend her enough!

Hello! My name is Martina and I have over 27 years of experience caring for children of all ages — from newborns to school-aged kids. I truly enjoy helping children learn, play, and grow in a safe and loving environment. Families describe me as kind, patient, and dependable. I’m comfortable with pets, have my own transportation, and can help with light cleaning, meals, or errands if needed. I’ve worked with several wonderful families in the Chicagoland area, including Glenview and Franklin Park, and I always treat the children I care for as if they were my own. I’m looking forward to meeting a family that values trust, care, and positive energy!

$22 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Chicago Bmc, IL

Hello families! I'm Jason Gonzalez, an energetic Teacher's Assistant for Pre-K: 4-5, working for CPS for 3 years. I have two years experience in the Pre-K setting, and also one year of experience with age groups 7-9. At work I specialize in leading academic activities (e.g math, writing), and put a large emphasis on social and emotional development. My classroom also takes pride in play-based learning, which has helped our entire pre-k team earn a gold star rating! I currently attend Dominican University pursuing a Bachelors in History with a concentration in Education. My graduation date is Spring 2027. With my combined educational classes/field work and hands-on experience working in a public school setting, I consider myself an ideal candidate for childcare of all age ranges and backgrounds! I have also cared for both cats and dogs between family and friends throughout my academic career, and enjoy their company as much as anyone else's 🥰

Jason was very responsive and professional, and my kids (3 and 5) had a great time with him. Jason has a very calm presence and knows how to engage/talk to kids. He helped my boys with dinner and bedtime, and the kids especially enjoyed book time with Jason. We’ll ask him to babysit again.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
