I am a pediatrician who is pursuing further specialized training. Although I do not caregiving experience in the typical sense. I am trained to provide care to children. I am also very detail oriented as that is the nature of my job. I am a great listener and love to play with children!

Hi! My name is Ajia, and I’ve spent over three years working directly with children as both a Teacher’s Assistant and an Instructor with After School Matters. Those experiences gave me the chance to work with kids of different ages, personalities, and learning styles — from helping younger students with reading and crafts to guiding older kids through creative projects and team-based activities. As a Teacher’s Assistant, I learned how to create structured, positive, and engaging classroom environments. I helped manage lessons, supported students one-on-one, and assisted with classroom organization and supervision. It taught me how to balance patience with leadership, and how to make sure every child feels included and understood. In my role as an After School Matters Instructor, I took on more responsibility by designing and leading activities that encouraged creativity, teamwork, and self-expression.
