$15 per hour for 1 child

I am an artist with extensive service industry experience. In addition to yoga instruction, I am very passionate about both art therapy and health consciousness. I fell into Care-giving after my mum suffered a brain aneurysm rupture in March of 2020. My Pandemic experience was filled with aiding my brain damaged mother during every day tasks. I learned so much....about care giving and about myself. My patience and understanding have been the strength that keeps me going. The experience has made me even more mentally flexible and welcoming of any challenge; new or existing. My Theatre training has also been tantamount to my ability to relate to and engage with others. I look forward to meeting new people and helping anyone I can. My name means 'savior of men'. But, I'm happy knowing I made someone's life a little better than it was. And, I most definitely plan to stay on said path.

Booked by 1 family in Chicago, IL

Hello! My name is Araceli and I have 10+ years experience working with children. I love working with children of all ages, but especially enjoy working with babies! I have worked as an infant, toddler and early head start teacher and currently work as an elementary teacher. Education: B.S. in Human Development & Family Studies with a minor in Child Development M.Ed in Elementary Education from Loyola University

Araceli was amazing! She brought great energy to the day and was excellent with our daughter who has both developmental disabilities and complex medical needs. She was patient, flexible, and eager to learn. Definitely recommend!

With nearly 10 years in education, I bring patience, structure, and genuine care to every family I support. I am an experienced elementary educator who works daily with children of diverse ages, personalities, and learning needs. I am dependable, nurturing, organized, and great at creating engaging, safe, and supportive environments. Whether helping with homework, creating fun activities, meal prep, bedtime routines, or light household support, I value building trust with both children and families. In addition to childcare, I have years of experience caring for seniors, including helping care for my great-grandparents, grandparents, great-aunts, and uncles throughout the years. That experience has strengthened my patience, compassion, attentiveness, and ability to provide dependable support with daily needs and companionship. I pride myself on being responsible, communicative, trustworthy, and attentive to the unique needs of those in my care.

Hanna Chicago
$30 per hour for 1 child

Hi everyone, I'm Hanna! I am moving to Chicago this summer, so I am looking for a new family to nanny for right after I move in September (flexible)! I'm 25 and have been caring for children for 7 years. I am currently a nanny/house manager full-time for an amazing family who has twins who recently turned 3, a 5-year-old, and sometimes their cousin is there who's 2. I love to plan fun educational activities and games for the kids like sensory bins, fine motor skills focused tasks, sorting colors/shapes/letters. We love to play inside and outside, go to the zoo, parks, pool, splash pads, take them and their large dog on walks, and bring them weekly to their gymnastics class. I have been with them for 1.5 years, and was with various other families in the past, as well as worked at a daycare/preschool for a year and absolutely loved it! I am able to do any extra tasks such as laundry, light housekeeping, run errands, grocery shop, organize areas, prep meals, car cleaning and maintenance, and more. I have experience with children ages 3-months-11-years-old, but most of my time has been with infants and toddlers. At the daycare, my duties included things like bottle feedings, diaper changes, nap times, meals/snacks, potty training, indoor and outdoor fun, cleaning, and sticking to a schedule for each individual infant/toddler. The room ratio was 1 adult:4 infants/toddlers, so I was definitely busy (I was mainly with the infants and sometimes toddlers)! I am CPR/First Aid certified, have a Bachelor's degree, not a smoker, have a reliable car, and up to date on vaccines. All of the positions I've had have been with multiple children at once, so the more the merrier, but one would be great as well! I am looking for a full-time and long-term position in the Chicagoland area. I can't wait to continue my nannying journey with a new family in a new city! I absolutely adore children. I love seeing their smiling faces, watching them grow, and surpassing different milestones! If all goes well, I will come to meet you and your family in person, before I move, to make sure everyone is feeling comfortable and happy about everything! Please message me if you have any questions or want more information - I'm able to send over my resume and references upon request. I'd love to hear from you :)

Jessica Chicago
$22 per hour for 1 child

My degree in education, childcare, and all the necessary first aid qualifications offer a solid foundation to my approach to childcare. I completed my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education with a Minor is ESL from DePaul University. My aim is to help kids achieve their goals by creating an encouraging learning environment full of interaction— hands-on activities, singing, outdoor explorations, crafts, etc— and positive energy! Although I love to have fun and engage with my kids, safety is my utmost concern and I carefully monitor children during indoor time as well as when I take them on outings to the park or walks around the neighborhood. With strong interpersonal skills, I have the ability to communicate effectively with kids and their guardians. I have 10+ years of childcare experience as I progressed from a babysitter in my early teens, to a part-time nanny, to working full-time in a classroom.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
