Hi, my name is Miya and I am going into my second year at the University of Chicago! I am from Washington, DC and am living in Chicago over the summer. I love theater, reading, hiking, and fun arts and crafts. I am offering child, senior, and pet care. I have been babysitting and petsitting since I was 14 years old. While babysitting, my responsibilities have included cooking, cleaning, and tutoring, as well as leading activities for kids like crafting and dance/music lessons. My favorite experience has been teaching one of my kids ballet! I am also happy to walk and feed pets; I have 2 dogs and 3 turtles of my own so I am very comfortable with animals. I also have experience with senior care. I have grown up with my grandparents in the house and have spent a lot of time looking after them. Additionally, I worked at Grand Oaks Assisted Living Facility for 2 years. At Grand Oaks, I spent a lot of time taking care of residents as well as playing the piano for and forming genuine connections with the residents. I am very flexible this summer and am willing to dedicate many hours to working. I also would love to continue working throughout the school year this year, although my hours would slightly change then.
