Hello! My name is Michelle, I am 24 years old, and I have more than 4 years of experience as a nanny. I also worked as an au pair, which gave me valuable hands-on experience in childcare and cultural exchange. Currently, I work as a Spanish teacher, where I enjoy fostering learning and development in children. I am committed to creating a nurturing, fun, and educational environment that supports each child’s growth and well-being.

Michelle was very punctual, communicative, and made the kids feel very comfortable. I would highly recommend her.

Hi, I’m Abby! I’ve been babysitting officially for the past 3 1/2 years, although, coming from a big family, I’ve been watching kids most of my life. I’m an artist and a college student. I started doing childcare in the nursery at my church when I was 12, and then worked as a summer camp counselor there until I was 14(stopped due to the pandemic). I was a camp counselor for Steve and Kate’s Camp during the summer of 2023 as well as this summer, and I’ve had various sitting jobs over the course of the past 3 years. I also do face painting for kids at parties sometimes too. I’m very creative, energetic, and open to new experiences, as well as a quick and diligent learner. In my free time, I roller skate, paint, play piano/guitar, practice makeup, play board games and video games, and do a little fashion design(amongst several other hobbies, haha). I also have experience taking care of cats and dogs and some senior caregiving, as well as elementary/middle school tutoring . I can also cook some basic meals, I’m pretty great at baking, and I know how to clean. I value making good connections with the kids I sit and their families, and I understand how much trust it takes to leave your child in someone else’s hands. I hope to be a great service to whomever I babysit for. :)

Hi, My name is Evie I am taking a gap year from my studies at Loyola University Chicago, I am currently taking on a break in pursuit of writing a novel. I have worked professionally as a childcare provider for almost 8 years. However, as the oldest of nine I have lifetime experience of looking after children. Fun fact: I consider myself a great cook and knowledgeable about nutrition and fun recipes. I am seeking occasional/part time hours but long term connections. I am located in Old Town but provide care throughout the city of Chicago and near by suburbs. During the summer I am open to full or part time opportunity to support family’s in the Chicagoland area. I provide care for children ages 0-16. Rate depends on age, needs, number of children. I work great with children of all ages and can adapt myself to their individual needs. Thanks for booking with me. Evie

My name is Kayla. I’m a Chicago native with a background in hospitality. I began working as a CNA in high school at 16 and have been caring for people of different backgrounds since. I briefly studied children’s developmental sciences at NYU. I’ve worked with geriatric patients, patients with visual and physical impairments, developmental delays such as autism as well as some with memory loss disorders. I have 12 siblings and have cared for my nieces and nephews endlessly over the years. My most recent care has been with my nephew who is autistic, 5 now, who was fed via gtube for the first 2 years of his life. I love working with children and being hands on. I’m outgoing, personable and funny. I’m the life of the party when necessary but I handle my business with utmost care.

played with our kids and kept them engaged throughout the day. our kids had a great time with her

Hi there! Thank you for considering me to care for your child. I just moved from Denver to Chicago and I am excited to connect with some new families for babysitting opportunities. I work as a mental health therapist but have varied availability to assist with child care needs as they pop up! I have 10 years of experience, which includes working in a nursery, assistant coaching at cheer and dance camps, volunteering with youth in after-school programs, and nannying for kiddos ranging from two months to twelve years old. If you are looking for an occasional sitter you can trust, feel free to reach out. I’d love to speak with you!

Olivia was great to have for the evening. Both my little ones had great time. Would love to have her back.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
