Hello šŸ‘‹šŸ½ I have 11 years of experience watching infants to school age children. I've been working for an Amazing šŸ’•Family in Winnetka and I’ve worked as a teacher's assistant in an at-home bilingual daycare. I really enjoying playing, cooking, and caring for children. I really like connecting with children and finding out what interests them.

ā€œWhat a pro! She was so confident and proactive when it came to handling my 3 kids. And some how managed to leave my home cleaner than I left it for her. Great communication, my oldest asked how soon she could see Eva again.ā€

Hi there! I am Blanca and I have had a passion for school and education ever since I was in kindergarten! I recently reconnected with some family after 17 years and turns out I have nieces and nephews, so I decided to take a break from teaching to travel often and spend time with them. While I am enjoying living life as a lady of leisure when back in town, I do miss working with younger children, so I am looking for occasional/one-time babysitting jobs where I can help out parents and have fun-filled days with children. I am a graduate of Dominican University, where I studied elementary, ESL, bilingual education, and translation & interpretation. I have experience working as a high school and elementary teacher, K-12 substitute teacher, teacher’s assistant, daycare center lead teacher, and camp teacher; as well as babysitting from months-old babies to teenagers. I am very patient, caring and attentive. I began my paid experience babysitting for my former teachers and employers, who then referred me to their friends and they to theirs, and so on, so I’ve become an occasional sitter for several families while I’m not teaching, but this year I am looking for occasional jobs to make better use of my time until the next school year starts. I love anything puzzle-related; I’m a pro at hide-and-seek, and can do arts and crafts out of anything! My music taste range is insane! I also haven’t owned a tv in over 8 years, so I never resort to screen time… unless your child turns it on and I can’t figure out how to turn it off for a few minutes. In my spare time, I enjoy nature, music, brain teasers, origami, and cleaning, to name a few things. Fun fact: I can drive and ride a motorcycle, but I have yet to learn to ride a regular bike!

20+ years of professional experience & ECE Degree. I am safe, loving and love to teach and help children explore. Some things of importance to me as a person/nanny are freedom, transparency, quality time, positivity and encouragement both things I give and like to receive. I am open minded and have been told my communication skills are sincerely appreciated. I enjoy making up new stimulating activities for children of all ages, and diving into their world with them! I take a customized approach based on how your child learns and likes/dislikes, I love being goofy 😜 . I don’t believe in ā€˜forcing’ anything and love to create a strong bond of mutual respect and trust . I practice positive discipline regardless of age or situation and don’t believe in hitting or yelling belittling/shaming and will ONLY raise my voice if it’s keeping your little one away from danger (fire, cars, sharp objects). I can cook, meal prep, run errands, laundry, I love cleaning but your child will ALWAYS be my number one priority! I’ve always been expected to tidy/clean whilst caring for little ones so I build that into my routine (often talking your child through it with me or having them help me with small tasks) I do have experience with special diets (soy free/gluten free/dairy free, vegan/vegatarian, halal) and allergies. First hand Epi pen experience. Experience with seizures ā™¾ļøšŸ§©Physical disability, Anxiety, extensive Autism & ADHD experience! Positivity, Safety, creating a bond of trust with you and your child(ren), singing & dancing! Genuinely engaging your child in stimulating activities such as art and music , creative play, walking in nature, reading and writing , celebrating your child’s wins no matter how big or small, and just letting kids be kids is what I’m all about. šŸ˜‰ *Cleaning & Organizing Aficionado* šŸŽØArts & Crafts Guru who will bring supplies for special projects. šŸŽ¤ I love singing and will often use music as a tool for daily activities that your child may struggle with. šŸš— Access to reliable vehicle Acura TL or Honda Accord (insured) 🧼 šŸ«¶šŸ¼ washing hands frequently 🩺 Infant CPR certification expired but will renew it upon request. * IF IM IN DOUBT ON WHAT YOUR WISHES WOULD BE IN ā€˜XYZ’ SITUATION I WILL CONTACT YOU IMMEDIATELY & if not available then use my best judgement. Booked by 10 families in Des Plaines, IL

Hello! My name is Cara and I am a rising senior at Scripps College, a small liberal arts school in California. I am a sociology major who is interested in art, music, yoga, helping kids, and hope to one day get my masters in social work. I have over 5 years of experience working with kids from being a camp counselor, a teachers assistant in charter schools, and an inclusion companion at Nssra for children with disabilities. I would describe myself as kind, attentive, responsible, mature, and fun-loving. I am also more than happy to provide additional references. I am continuing to take classes this summer in the Chicago area so I have a flexible schedule that I can adjust to around need. I see babysitting as first and foremost a responsibilty to keep kids safe, happy, and going about their lives. I want to be there for you and your childs needs whether that be creating a fun activity or making sure they are in bed for a good nights sleep. I can’t wait to meet you! Note: my rates are not fixed, and I am happy to work together to find a rate that is comfortable for both of us.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
