I have always felt like working with kids has been my calling - I grew up taking care of a brother who was 12 years younger than me, which gave me hands-on experience with every stage of childhood. As a camp counselor at Steve and Kate's Camp, I learned to take care of kids between the ages of 4-12, and I was promoted to Youngest Camper Lead after my first summer, which put every child between the ages of 4-6 (typically around 15-20 per day) under my care! I am well-practiced with emotional management and conflict resolution with young kids, and I have a lot of experience summoning the kind of energy that it takes to both entertain and care for a room full of littles! I love kids of all ages and have always found it pretty easy to get along with all kinds of personalities. I’m Haley, I’m a Lakeview East resident mainly looking for part time work baby sitting! I have 8 years of childcare experience under my belt. I am currently teaching theatre classes part-time in the Chicago area and most recently assistant taught a 3-4 year old classroom at a daycare full time. I also have experience nannying/house managing, facilitating after school programs, teaching swim lessons, and being an inclusion aide. Most of my experience is with 3-5 year olds but I have experience working with kids from age 1 to 12. I have a handful of ECE certificates from Gateway including pediatric first aid/CPR certification, mandated reporter certification, ECE level 1 credentials, Trauma Informed practice, SIDS and SBS prevention, and a Food Handlers certificate.
