I was babysitting my older sisters 4 kids since I was 15 years old. I've been a room parent in my son's classroom from K-6th grade. I've been heavily involved in my son's travel baseball team for the last 5 years. Caring for other kids on the team. Giving them rides to and from events. Having sleep overs. I'm comfortable around any animal and enjoy them as much as I do children. I grew up with a friend whose father was a quadriplegic and helped with his care. I was very close to my grandmother and wanted to make her comfortable in her senior years. Washing her hair, helping her get up the stairs and cooking for her. Now that my son is getting older, and my schedule is flexible, I want to help other families. Not having family or resources in Chicago to help raise my son, I know how extremely valuable it would have been to have had help from a sitter that I could trust.
