Booked by 1 family in Franklin Park, IL

Hello! I'm De'ja, a Chicago-based caregiver with 7 years of experience caring for infants through elementary-aged children. I strive to create a safe, fun, and dependable environment where children can learn, play, and feel comfortable while parents have peace of mind. I have experience with Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches, incorporating art, loose parts, and imaginative play into daily activities. I enjoy creating engaging, play-based learning experiences that support academic and social development. I've also worked in programs that emphasize nature-based play, including outdoor exploration and community adventures, which is something I truly enjoy. I hold an Associate's degree in Art with coursework in Early Childhood Education, and I'm currently pursuing my BA in an asynchronous online program for Psychology with a focus on child development. I enjoy staying active, art, STEM, books, and games!

$20 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Franklin Park, IL

I've been a cat owner for five years now. I have four cats now, two of which require medication. I grew up with dogs, who also required medication so I'm very comfortable with pets with special needs. I have been a pet/plant/house sitter to friends, family, and neighbors and I'd love to do the same for you.

Beauregard is a great pet sitter! Very reliable and attentive to our pets' needs. He was punctual and responsive, and went above and beyond to spend time petting and playing with our pets. He even sent us updates so we could see they were doing great while we were away. Definitely will be hiring him again!

Liberty $20 per hour for 1 child

Hi my name is Liberty. I am a 21 year old special needs pre - k teacher looking for a side job. I am in school to become a pediatric nurse. I love fun activities, helping out, making the kids day better. I can cook, clean, and complete any tasks needed. I was a daycare assistant in my grandmas daycare since I was 13. $22 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Franklin Park, IL

Hello families! I'm Jason Gonzalez, an energetic Teacher's Assistant for Pre-K: 4-5, working for CPS for 3 years. I have two years experience in the Pre-K setting, and also one year of experience with age groups 7-9. At work I specialize in leading academic activities (e.g math, writing), and put a large emphasis on social and emotional development. My classroom also takes pride in play-based learning, which has helped our entire pre-k team earn a gold star rating! I currently attend Dominican University pursuing a Bachelors in History with a concentration in Education. My graduation date is Spring 2027. With my combined educational classes/field work and hands-on experience working in a public school setting, I consider myself an ideal candidate for childcare of all age ranges and backgrounds! I have also cared for both cats and dogs between family and friends throughout my academic career, and enjoy their company as much as anyone else's 🥰

Jason was very responsive and professional, and my kids (3 and 5) had a great time with him. Jason has a very calm presence and knows how to engage/talk to kids. He helped my boys with dinner and bedtime, and the kids especially enjoyed book time with Jason. We’ll ask him to babysit again.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
