Angela 3 reviews
$25 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Hines, IL

Hello! My name is Angela, and I’m a first-year graduate student at the Elliott School of International Affairs, where I’m earning my master’s degree in International Affairs. I am currently looking for a summer full time/ part time babysitter position while I spend my summer in Chicago. I offer reliable childcare, pet care, and household support. I’ve worked with children since I was 13 as a summer camp recreation leader for the Chicago Park District, daycare assistant, ESL teacher, and program facilitator, and currently a DCPS substitute teacher building a strong foundation in creating safe, fun, and nurturing environments for kids of all ages. I describe myself as sweet, kindhearted, and energetic, and I genuinely love helping children stay happy, healthy, and thriving. I’m also bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows me to support multilingual households and help children practice language skills when needed. In addition, I’m a big dog and cat lover, and I’m always excited to help with pets. I have a valid driver’s license, experience babysitting young children, and I’m comfortable cooking, cleaning, and running errands for families.

We were so fortunate to have Angela support our family for a week during the morning and evening routines while one parent was out of town. She was dependable, proactive, and incredibly caring, helping keep our children happy, engaged, and on their normal routines during a busy time. Any family would be lucky to have her!

Nohely $18 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Hines, IL

Hi families! My name is Nohely, a first year student at DePaul University. I have worked as a childcare assistant with children aged 6 months - 12 years, although my experience with infants is limited. Additionally, I currently work as a youth caretaker/teacher at my local church, in which I care for children aged 10-14. I have owned both cats and dogs, and therefore have good basic knowledge in caring for animals (feeding schedules, walks, stimulation, etc). I am also able to provide household services like cooking, cleaning, deep cleaning, and other related services. I like to think I get along well with kids of all ages and am able to adapt to a child's needs, wants, and personalities. Hope to meet you all soon!

I'm a full-time social work graduate student looking for part or full-time babysitting positions. I have over 10 years of experience babysitting and nannying, working with families that have children aged 1-15, and providing care to family pets. I am currently interning at a school, and have worked in educational settings for three years, providing instruction in social-emotional learning and English. I am passionate about working with children, and I use my practice as a social worker to provide a stable and caring environment for the kids I work with. "We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
