Hi- My name is Sabrina! I am currently in school studying early childhood development. I am the oldest of six girls. I offer childcare, as well as light housework. I have nannied for a wide range of ages from 1 year old to 10 years old. I enjoy working with children, with my great patience and loving care. My responsibility to nurture each child as they grow and learn everyday is what excites me! My day consists of a daily routine, molded around each parents wishes. Book reading, arts and crafts and outdoor play time are just some of my daily activities. I am also more than willing to follow any special diet and specific food restrictions for each child. I also do light house work as I work, I can cook and prep meals for the child. Making sure dishes are always done before the days ends. While cleaning up after the child around the house and running errands for the parents when needed. I am comfortable with pets!

As a lifelong artist, people person, and child at heart, I think I would make a great babysitter for your child. I have prior childcare and babysitting experience, and my liberal arts education and extensive artistic background has taught me how to incorporate my enthusiastic creativity and unique problem solving skills into everything I do. Additionally, I take safety very seriously, keep a level head in emergency situations and am CPR, First Aid, and BBP training certified, as well as hold a valid paraprofessional license. My most direct childcare experience comes from babysitting my professors’ kids throughout college, as well as my time volunteering in the LARY Buddies program, a youth mentoring program through my university that partnered college students with children attending the local elementary school. That being said, most of my prior work experience has involved kids in one way or another. Outside of the classroom, I have experience entertaining and engaging children through puppetry and theater, with my most recent role being Run Crew for the historic Lookingglass Theater. The shows I worked were kid friendly, and a lot of what I did involved children's participation and engagement. I also have professional puppetmaking experience through the Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival. Lastly, I have created art for most of my life, and credit an after school art teacher with introducing me to my lifelong passion -- I feel an obligation to pay forward what was taught to me, and it would be an honor to be a part of helping raise the next generation of children with love and kindness, and help them discover their passions.

I moved to Chicago recently and have been searching for the perfect nanny / childcare job. I’ve babysat for many families over the past seven years and worked with kids anywhere from nine months to eleven years, both in professional and personal settings. In an academic sense I’ve worked multiple school or curriculum based jobs throughout my adult life. I moved my way up as a teacher’s assistant to a stand-in head teacher at Pipster Prep Preschool in Portland, OR, where I worked and taught preschool for over two years. I aided in curriculum planning and last-minute creative projects that were both entertaining and enriching. In 2019 I worked as a camp counselor for a summer arts camp. I assisted in and ran the World Arts tent. During my time at Willowbrook I helped design lesson plans, craft ideas, set up, and did my absolute best to tailor an environment to foster and support each and every kid. (ages 8-12) In 2025 I took up a nannying gig on a homestead in Damascus, OR. Here, I not only assisted both WFH parents in caring for their 4 year old and 9 month old, but also helped out around the house. I did whatever I could to ease up their days; washed dishes, cleaned the kitchen, swept, vacuumed, tidied, made dinner. I loved the flexibility and variety of this job, I got a wonderful sense of what it was like to be a part of their family and understand the inner workings of their care system so I could provide the best possible stand-in care for their kids. I would pick the 4 year old up from school, or care for the 9 month old and mealprep while the parents went to pick up the 4 year old. I learned how to work in tandem with a family unit and could make myself useful without instruction. I believe working with children is the most genuine way to release adult ego. We can learn just as much from kids as they can from us. I love seeing the world through the lens of a kid. The phrase “it takes a village” is everything to me. Working with children is a gateway into true human connection and altruism. We’re meant to love and nurture those who are still growing, and it’s an honor to be a part of the symbiosis that aids that growth. I am CPR certified alongside having taken over ten hours of certified child safety and early childhood development courses and workshops. I’ve worked as an assistant preschool teacher, camp counselor, babysitter, and nanny. I’ve cared for kids from 9 months to 11 years, and worked as an art tutor for kids ages 10 to 15.

Hi! I’m Angelina, a UIC student graduating this December with degrees in English and Criminology. I currently work as an Assistant Teacher at the UIC Children’s Center, where I care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers every day. I’m CPR/First Aid certified and love creating a fun, safe, and engaging environment for children.
