Hello! My name is Nikki, and I’m a part-time nursing student who currently works part-time as a CNA. I’ve also been nannying for several years and have experience caring for children of different ages and personalities.
I would describe myself as caring, patient, attentive, dependable, and naturally nurturing. Caring for others has always been meaningful to me, which is a big part of what led me toward both healthcare and childcare. I believe children deserve to feel safe, heard, respected, and comfortable with the person caring for them.
I enjoy being actively involved with the children I care for rather than simply supervising. Depending on their age and interests, I love playtime, reading, arts and crafts, spending time outside, helping with homework, preparing meals or snacks together, or simply being someone they can talk to and feel comfortable around.
I’m experienced with meal preparation, tidying, dishes, laundry, bath time, diaper changes, feeding, personal care, and other child-related household responsibilities. My CNA experience has also strengthened my patience, attention to detail, communication skills, and awareness of safety and individual care needs.
Outside of work and school, I enjoy working out, yoga, spending time with my cats and dog, being with family, trying new foods, and experiencing new things. I value living life fully while also nurturing the people, animals, and relationships that are part of it.
My childcare philosophy is that every child is their own person. I enjoy learning their individual personality, interests, and ways of communicating while providing the consistency, encouragement, and appropriate boundaries they need.
As I continue my nursing education, I’m still discovering where I would eventually like to specialize, but I know that caring for others will remain an important part of my life.
I understand the trust it takes to welcome someone into your home and care for your children, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m always happy to learn your family’s routines, preferences, parenting approach, and specific needs.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions! I’d also be happy to arrange a meet-and-greet to see if I would be a good fit for your family. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me!
