Hi, I’m Sarah. I am a career childcare professional with over 30 years of experience supporting children and families from the newborn stage through adolescence. My work is rooted in consistency, emotional awareness, and creating environments where children feel safe, engaged, and truly understood.
In addition to my extensive nanny background, I am also a trained full spectrum doula, childbirth educator, and lactation educator. This allows me to offer a deeper level of support, especially for families with newborns, infants, and those navigating postpartum transitions. I have supported hundreds of families throughout Chicago and bring a calm, knowledgeable presence into the home during both everyday routines and more complex seasons of life.
My areas of expertise include newborn and infant care, establishing feeding and sleep rhythms, toddler development, preschool readiness, and supporting school-aged children with structured routines and homework. I have significant experience working with neurodivergent children, including those with autism, ADHD, and learning differences. I focus on emotional regulation, connection-based care, and helping children build confidence and independence at their own pace.
I am highly experienced in managing the day-to-day flow of a household. This includes school pickup and drop-off, activity coordination, meal preparation, organization, and maintaining predictable routines that support both children and parents. I am comfortable in homes with pets and in environments where parents work from home, and I adapt easily to each family’s unique rhythm.
Families often describe me as grounded, intuitive, and deeply reliable. I value clear communication, mutual respect, and building long-term, trusting relationships. I am CPR and First Aid certified and fully vaccinated. I also follow a gluten-free lifestyle and am comfortable supporting families with dietary needs and food sensitivities.
At the heart of my work is the belief that children thrive when they feel secure, seen, and supported, and that families deserve care that is both professional and deeply human. I would love the opportunity to connect and learn more about how I can support your family.
