Hi! My name is Leslie, I’m 20 years old, and I’m in my last semester of Early Childhood Learning. Caring for children has always been a big part of my life—I started out helping with my younger siblings, cousins, and niece, and over the years I’ve had the most experience with toddlers and school-aged children. I’ve also had the privilege of caring for my cousin with autism, which has helped me understand that every child has their own unique needs and ways of learning.
I enjoy doing whatever kids love—whether that’s running around outside, reading books, working on puzzles, or getting creative with arts and crafts. I can also support with homework and learning, since I’ve taken classes in children’s literature, math, and health. I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, which I find really helpful when connecting with families and children.
In addition to childcare, I have a lot of experience with pets. I currently work at PetSmart, so I’ve gained knowledge about many different types of animals. At home, I have four cats and a guinea pig, so I’m very comfortable with both small and larger pets. I can help with walking, feeding, playtime, and making sure they get the love and attention they need.
I’m also happy to support families with day-to-day needs like light cleaning, preparing simple meals and snacks, grocery shopping, and running errands. Overall, I’m a caring, dependable, and energetic person who truly enjoys helping children, pets, and families thrive.
