$22 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 3 families in River Forest, IL

Hi - My name is Nancy and I've been working with kids since I was 19 and love it. I started by helping my aunt, she used to babysit from home and I really enjoyed helping her. I have two big boys now, one of 19 years old and the other one of 14 years old. Over the last few years, I've worked on babysitting for date nights and on my days off. Primarily with infants and toddlers, but I love kids of all ages. If it's nice out, I like to take the kids outside, but if not, I like to play with them, reading, singing, and for older kids I like to do some crafting too.

Jovana 1 review
$25 per hour for 1 child

Hello, my name is Jovana! I graduated college in June of 2024. I offer childcare and pet care. I have been babysitting on and off since I was 18 years old. I have about a year experience with children ages 6 to 8. I also have around 3 years of experience with children ages 2-5. I enjoy preparing snacks and helping the kiddos with homework if needed. I try to come up with fun ways to keep the kids busy, such as playing board games, building forts, and the occasional dance party. As far as pet care, I grew up having two cats and currently have a German Sheppard. I am comfortable taking dogs on walks and feeding the animals when necessary. I am also open to household chores/errands if needed! I can cook, clean, or take the kids to and from activities after school.

Jovana has been an incredible babysitter for our family over the past five years. She has been taking care of our two kids (now 7 and 5) and we couldn’t ask for someone better. She is fun, reliable, and truly great with children. Our kids absolutely love spending time with her, they always look forward to the creative activities and games she comes up with. Beyond being fun, she is also responsible and dependable. We always feel at ease knowing our children are in her care. She balances playfulness with ensuring they follow routines and stay safe. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about kids and makes babysitting a positive experience, we highly recommend Jovana

$25 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 3 families in River Forest, IL

Hi! My name is Nick, and I’m passionate about working with children of all ages and abilities. I currently work in Chicago Public Schools as a Special Education Classroom Assistant in a cluster program serving Kindergarten through 2nd grade. This has strengthened my commitment to supporting students with diverse needs. Before joining CPS, I worked in an assisted living home, which helped me develop patience, empathy, and strong caregiving skills. I’ve also worked with the Chicago Park District for the past eight years as a summer camp counselor, helping run day camps, lead activities, and build positive relationships with kids. In addition, I coach high school baseball every spring and am currently in my sixth season, which has given me experience motivating older students and creating a supportive, team-focused environment. I’m also a student at National Louis University, where I’m studying Elementary Education. Families describe me as caring, responsible, and energetic. I’m CPR-certified and experienced in supporting children with special needs. Above all, I strive to create a safe, fun, and positive environment where children can learn and grow. I’m looking for a family who values kindness, communication, and trust, and I’d love the chance to provide dependable care you can count on.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
