My upbringing in a large family of ten children naturally fostered a sense of responsibility and patience within me, as I often assisted my parents with my younger siblings. This caregiving role has been a consistent thread throughout my life. For over a decade, I've volunteered at my church, teaching children between the ages of 3 and 14. I also support mothers during church services by caring for their children, from newborns to ages 4 or 5, allowing them to fully participate in the service or assist in the kitchen. Sometimes, this simply provides mothers without local family support a much-needed break. Additionally, I regularly babysit and help my siblings with their 11 children. Coming from such a large and active family, I am comfortable with noise and thrive in busy environments. Professionally, I spent two fulfilling years as an English as a Second Language teacher at a charter school. Currently, I work as an Administrative Assistant in an office setting, where my responsibilities extend beyond typical administrative duties. I oversee morning drop-offs and dismissals, occasionally substitute teach, troubleshoot technology issues, and assist students with financial aid and high school applications.

I am starting a social work master's in the city in the fall, pivoting from a career in science and health writing, and I am looking for summer nanny jobs and babysitting opportunities beyond summer! I am creative, conscientious, and have over 10 years of childcare experience, including in schools, Christian education, babysitting, and tutoring. I also have several years of special education experience and feel very comfortable around kids with disabilities and/or neurodivergence. I love animals and have a dog of my own and would be happy to support you in running your household (childcare, pet care, light tidying, and whatever else you might need!). I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and have over 10 years of experience with babysitting children of all ages from infancy to 10 years old of age. I also have experience nannying and teaching children. During Covid, I nannied and tutored two preschool/kindergarten children 5 days per several weeks and had created a preschool like atmosphere in their home while I came up with lesson plans, circle time, and various of other fun activities and crafts.
