I’m currently a finance major in college, which might not seem directly related to caregiving, but it’s helped me become really responsible, organized, and dependable. I’ve been babysitting since I was 15, and now that I’m almost 20, I’ve worked with kids of different ages and personalities. I also work as a lifeguard, which has taught me how important it is to stay alert and calm in any situation. Being responsible for people’s safety, especially kids, is something I never take lightly. I also have younger siblings, so I’ve grown up helping out at home, whether that’s with homework, rides, or just keeping them entertained. Something personal about me is that I’m very family-oriented. My siblings are a huge part of my life, and being an older sibling has shaped how I care for others.
