Hi all, my name is Sara! I've lived in Chicago since I was 4 years old and absolutely love the city. I graduated from UIC College Prep and earned my bachelor's in business management from Hope College in Holland, MI. During college, I started volunteering in my church's kids' ministry and quickly realized how much I enjoy working with children. This led me to become the childcare coordinator at BLVD Church, where I worked for two years. In that role, I organized and led classrooms of up to 20 children ranging from nursery to elementary age. I was responsible for developing lesson plans, managing volunteers, keeping kids engaged and safe, and communicating with parents-all at the same time. My personal experience as a caregiver starts with helping my older sister with my nephew’s care while I was in my 20’s, then raising my own three daughters, who are now decent young ladies. I understand the amount of work required to raise children specially when in nowdays society requires mothers to help support the household, which is why I am interested in lending a helping hand and while enjoying doing what I know the most of, caring for children.
