Hi! My name is Ava, I'm a New Orleans transplant originally from California. I went to college at University of California Santa Barbara to study Psychology and then ended up working in the film industry as a Director's Guild of America 2nd Assistant Director. I have a younger brother (6 years younger) and grew up babysitting him as well as kids in my neighborhood when I was in high school. In college I worked at a children's pottery painting studio. After college I was also assigned to take care of my boss's 3 children and coordinated their schedules between their separated parents households. My mother was an elementary and middle school teacher and helped me learn how to help tutor children with different ability levels in numbers subjects but my favorites to assist with are still art and math :) I grew up with dogs and adopted a catahoula puppy last summer. I'm also the go to animal sitter for my friends and take care of their cats and dogs while they are traveling.

I’ve had a job as nanny where I quickly learned what it is like to be around a child and her friends of around the ages of 8-10. I got a second job as a property manager where I had to use a lot of organization skills in order to keep record of properties and to continue order of said properties. Now I works as an art teacher, which has become my passion and I hope to get my teaching certification this summer. All in all, my skills span from strong communication and understanding of children to strong organization and determination when it comes to keeping things functioning.
