Hello! My name is Sahra. I am a Boston native studying at Northeastern University. I offer child care, pet-care, and household services. I’ve been professionally babysitting for 4 years now. Prior to that I’ve worked at a preschool. I’ve also babysat for family members and family friends practically my whole life. I don’t have my drivers licenses, so picking kids up from school maybe a little difficult, but if the school is walking distance, I can certainly do that! I can also help with homework and tutoring (I currently tutor high school students). I’m also available to cook, clean, and run errands. Pet care - I have a cat of my own, so anything cat care I would love to help out with!

Hi! I have been professionally nannying children for fourteen years, varying from infants to preteens and would love to get to know your kiddo(s)! I have experience with nanny shares (two toddlers), and have had multiple positions caring for 2 kids at the same time. I also have experience with house managing, meal prep, driving kids, bottle prep, diaper changing, and putting down for naps/bed. I also have experience being out and about with kiddos, as well as socializing with other parents/nannies and their children. I’m very adaptive to constantly changing circumstances and pride myself with being able to roll with the punches :) I also have experience helping children develop skills to manage their own emotions, and teaching them developmentally appropriate social skills. I’m very warm and patient with children, especially during meltdowns. I also have experience helping navigate conflict resolution. I am the best fit for a family who values children learning emotional skills over learning manners. I know manners are extremely important to many families, but I prefer to let a child have big feelings, help them through those feelings and develop age appropriate skills to help them the next time it happens. I will absolutely help kiddos learn manners ("please" and "thank yous") but only when the kiddo seems in the right head space to absorb such info. For example, if a kiddo is having a bad day and yells at me that I'm stupid, I am more likely to respond by asking, "is that how you feel about me right now?" than asking for an apology. Then after they've calmed down, I would say something like, "I know you were frustrated with me earlier, and that is absolutely okay. But let's come up with a different thing you can say to me instead of telling me I'm stupid." That way it's a process the kiddo and I are involved in together, and they feel like they have some control within a structured and boundaried relationship. If a baby is having a meltdown, I’m the kind of caregiver who will soothe them through it and validate their feelings, instead of trying to make the meltdown stop. I’m an avid reader (and a published author with HarperCollins!), and my hobbies include baking, knitting, sewing, yoga, meditation, singing, and doing theatre :) I am CPR and Choke Prevention certified. AND I LOVE PETS :D
