kimarah 1 review
$21 per hour for 1 child

My name is Kimarah, and I am a 22-year-old student working toward a career in nursing. I am passionate about supporting children and helping them grow and thrive in a variety of ways, and I am pleased to offer babysitting services to families in my community. I have several years of experience working with children through babysitting, after-school programs, and summer camps. I have worked with a wide range of age groups, which has helped me develop the skills to connect with children and provide age-appropriate activities that are both engaging and nurturing. I especially enjoy arts and crafts, including activities such as coloring and creating designs with clay—one of my favorite activities to share with children. In addition to direct childcare, I am able to assist with: • Light cleaning • Preparing and providing snacks • Homework help, as needed For the safety and comfort of everyone, please note that I am allergic to cats; however, dogs are okay. I am also CPR certified, as required for professionals working with children, and I am committed to maintaining a safe, caring, and supportive environment for every child in my care.

I highly recommend Kimarah as a babysitter. She is fun, engaging, and builds strong connections with children of all ages. She is especially skilled at supporting kids with challenging behaviors, handling situations calmly and thoughtfully. She has excellent conflict-resolution skills, is kind and understanding, and knows how to make every child feel seen and valued. She is also very sporty and enjoys playing games and sports with kids, which makes her a dynamic and energetic presence. Children naturally respond to her warmth and guidance, and I am confident she would be a wonderful and reliable babysitter.

Hi! My name is Katie, I’m a 32-year-old professional nanny with over 10 years of experience caring for newborns, infants, toddlers, and school-age kids. I’m skilled in managing multiples, nanny shares, and children with behavioral, emotional regulation, or executive functioning challenges. My approach emphasizes connection, autonomy, and play-based learning, and I love tailoring activities to each child’s interests, whether that’s singing, dancing, crafting clay figurines, or exploring fun activities around Boston, Cambridge, and the North Shore. I have done many different kinds of jobs including: long-term (3+ years) short-term, overnight, vacations, and date nights! I hold a Child & Youth Advocacy certificate and Associates in Liberal Arts Psychology from NSCC. I am also currently pursuing my Social Work degree at Salem State University. In addition, I volunteer with the Massachusetts Coalition for the Homeless and CASA, bringing a strong commitment to supporting children and families both professionally and in the community. Some of my specific strengths include: • Redirection and emotional coaching • Supporting intuitive eating • Managing ADHD and sensory needs • Creating practical systems that support families long-term Thanks Katie

Katie is our current nanny to our 2.5-year-old twin girls, and she has been a wonderful addition to our family. One of the things we appreciate most about Katie is her knowledge of child development. She is always coming up with fun, age-appropriate activities that help our girls learn and grow while keeping them engaged and excited. She is also incredibly in tune with children's emotions and does a great job helping our daughters work through big feelings with patience, empathy, and understanding. Katie is dependable, caring, and genuinely invested in our girls' well-being and development. We feel very lucky to have found her and would highly recommend her to any family.

Monica 1 review
$20 per hour for 1 child

Hello, my name is Monica I love children, I have experience with infants, toddlers, kindergarten, primary and special education, I love children of all ages and I like to do activities with them like reading, painting, craft, play game, help with homework and teach .

Monica currently babysits my 8mo daughter 5 days a week while I am at work. When she initially arrived for the in-person interview, I could tell she had not only great experience with kids but is also very empathetic and safety-conscious, which are two very important traits I believe for a person taking care of an infant. She lets me know if she has any concerns and updates me about anything “new” in regards to my daughter . She is also very punctual and dependable; she is very interactive, engaging my daughter with toys, books, music, and conversation. I feel confident when I leave the house in the morning, knowing my daughter is in caring in capable hands. I am so grateful to have found her on Urban Sitters !

Vanessa 2 reviews
$29 per hour for 1 child

Hello My name is Vanessa, my background includes working with infants and toddlers during my teenage years in a daycare (babyU). After receiving my bachelors I have worked in youth development / education for 8 years with a nonprofit afterschool organization with students from 6th to 12th grade. Beyond supervision I can offer homework help, tutoring, snack / lunch making, light cleaning, driving to and from school, extra curricular activities and/ or errands. I am allergic to dogs but I am happy to work with dog and cat owners so long as pet care is not something you are looking for. I don’t really have a footprint on nanny websites but feel free to find me on linked in, I can also provide references.

Vanessa is amazing and you should hire her! I've worked with Vanessa for 7 years at a nonprofit where she's led a program assisting low-income youth to be successful now and prepare for their futures. She is extremely organized and always prepared. She cleans thoroughly each day after program. She connects well with youth while remaining stern and is a great role modal. And though I haven't been able to experience it for myself, I hear she is a fantastic chef! I highly recommend her for any babysitting needs you might have.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
