Bermarie $25 per hour for 1 child

I’m a caring, dependable, and patient person with a natural love for helping others—especially children and animals. I’ve had hands-on experience caring for kids of all ages through babysitting and volunteering in after-school programs, where I learned the importance of patience, creativity, and keeping children engaged in fun and safe activities. I’m also comfortable caring for pets, from walking dogs to making sure they’re well-fed and loved. In addition, I’m experienced with household tasks like light cleaning, organizing, meal prep, and maintaining a tidy space. My nurturing personality, strong sense of responsibility, and attention to detail make me someone families can truly rely on to provide a warm, safe, and positive environment for both their loved ones and their home.

$22 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 6 families in Somerville, MA

Hi! My name is Elonga, I’m 22 years old and a recent graduate from Xavier University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. I have over 8 years of childcare experience and have worked with children ranging from newborns to 12 years old. I began babysitting at age 13, caring for my younger siblings and cousins, and later gained professional experience as an au pair for two years, where I cared for a 5-month-old infant and a 5-year-old. I am the oldest of five siblings, so I’m very comfortable managing multiple children at once and creating a structured, safe, and engaging environment. I am patient, attentive, and genuinely enjoy supporting children’s growth and development. I am fluent in French and Swahili, and I also speak conversational Spanish, which can be a great bonus for multilingual households. HOURS: evenings / all day weekends! I’m happy to assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and maintaining routines. I am a non-smoker, fully vaccinated (including booster), and prioritize safety and communication with parents at all times. Please note: I do not drive at the moment and am not comfortable handling pet snakes. !IM CPR CERTIFIED!

Elonga was fantastic! Our daughter had fun actively playing, doing arts, and listening to music. Look forward to the next play date!

Vanessa 2 reviews
$29 per hour for 1 child

Hello My name is Vanessa, my background includes working with infants and toddlers during my teenage years in a daycare (babyU). After receiving my bachelors I have worked in youth development / education for 8 years with a nonprofit afterschool organization with students from 6th to 12th grade. Beyond supervision I can offer homework help, tutoring, snack / lunch making, light cleaning, driving to and from school, extra curricular activities and/ or errands. I am allergic to dogs but I am happy to work with dog and cat owners so long as pet care is not something you are looking for. I don’t really have a footprint on nanny websites but feel free to find me on linked in, I can also provide references.

Vanessa is amazing and you should hire her! I've worked with Vanessa for 7 years at a nonprofit where she's led a program assisting low-income youth to be successful now and prepare for their futures. She is extremely organized and always prepared. She cleans thoroughly each day after program. She connects well with youth while remaining stern and is a great role modal. And though I haven't been able to experience it for myself, I hear she is a fantastic chef! I highly recommend her for any babysitting needs you might have.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
