Hi Families! I’m Khady, I’m a third year student at Howard University. I currently reside in Noma. I’m originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, and I’ve been babysitting for about eight years. I got my Red Cross babysitting and CPR/First Aid certification at 12, and since then, I’ve been working with newborns up to teenagers. I’m experienced with all ages, but I especially love working with toddlers from 3 months to 5 to 6 years old. I also have a lot of experience with special needs, especially ASD and ADHD. I’ve worked with many families, providing date nights and backup care, and I’ve had several consistent nanny families over the years. I’m also a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and spent a year and a half at UNC Rex Hospital NICU, where I gained my experience with newborns. This included maintaining feeding schedules, swaddling, and creating a calm and safe environment. For two summers, I also worked as a camp counselor at the YMCA, working with kids from preschool through grade school, and I absolutely loved it. I enjoyed spending time outdoors, going to the pool, taking trips to the park, and keeping the children occupied with fun activities without screen time. I truly enjoy what I do and love making my clients and kids happy every day. I always go the extra mile and truly enjoy building strong relationships with my families and the kids I work with. Hi! I'm Kathryn - kids call me KP. Friends have also referred to me as Aunt Kathryn, Baby Whisperer and Better Mommy. (That last one comes from a pretty specific sense of humor!). My very first job was babysitting when I was 11. I worked my way through high school and college as a nanny, babysitter and camp counselor. Professionally I’m a consultant (political, program, operations), but I also want to remain a camp counselor forever so I spend a significant amount of my time helping families in the DC area. Nutrition and health are serious hobbies for me - I am a great home cook and a registered yoga teacher. Cleaning isn't my favorite but I like to take care of people, and I love seeing the relief on people's faces when I finish some laundry or dishes or other cleaning task they're dreading. Hello everyone! My name is Brianna. I was born and raised in the Washington D.C area. During my free time, I enjoy drawing, completing arts & crafts projects, babysitting, going to the movies, long walks, visiting the zoo and just being with family and friends. I love being out and about, exploring new places! I began watching children in high school and eventually started my own nannying business (which is how I gained majority of my experience).
