My name is Marian and I'm currently a student at Montgomery college studying international relations. I've been working with kids since I was teenager and love it. I started by watching my younger sister, and then began babysitting for kids in our neighborhood. Over the last few years, I've worked primarily with infants and toddlers, but I love kids of all ages. If it's nice out, I like to take the kids outside, but if not I would play with them inside or read to them. In my free time, I love reading, baking and cooking.

Hello! My name is Natalie. I started babysitting when I was in middle school and volunteered in my church to watch children. In high school, I took child growth and development courses and volunteered in schools. I worked at daycares, home childcare, and a private school. I have worked with ages from newborn to 12 years of age. I am CPR certified, CDA certified, college courses and additional training in breastfeeding, ADA, etc. . I’m currently pursuing my degree and my dream is to start a nonprofit organization that will help families and children across the world and open a postpartum center for women in need. I am currently an early childhood educator and I enjoy working with all ages. I love to read and write durning my free time. I also like to try new foods and go to new places. I am a mother to a joyful 4 year old and love to take him on adventures. My passion is teaching children and watching them grow and they inspire me everyday.

“Natalie was great. Punctual and friendly. She had good communication with my son and no issues while I was away. Much appreciated. ”

Hello Parents/ Guardians, my name is Italia-Karine (she/her). I am a college student majoring in Early Education Technology and Nursing. Outside of my academic endeavors, I am the eldest child of a migrant family (from Cameroon). My familial life plays a significant role in my ability to care for children and seniors as I've constantly lived and catered towards grandparents, younger siblings, and cousins. On a professional note, I am currently employed as a private educator with an organization. Under this title, I communicate effectively and efficiently between myself, my leader, and the supervisors of the schools I am scheduled to teach in, I create lesson plans for our classroom time, guide school-aged children on the importance of social studies through fun and interactive methods, as well as oversee the safety of the students while they are in my care. I also have a CPR certification and a State-recognized document stating that I am in good standing to care for children ( no abusive record). I speak three languages, English, French, and Spanish. I am exceptionally good at tutoring and helping young children remain engaged in educational tasks ie homework, and studying sight words. I also excel in domestic chores such as cooking healthy meals, cleaning, completing necessary errands, etc. In the past I have volunteered and worked as a health aide. This helps with knowing how to professionally best care for anyone who may be facing a limitation on what they're able to do independently. I have a valid driver's license as well. I am based in the Rockville area of Maryland but I am more than willing to go beyond this to support you and your family. I am also flexible in terms of pricing and time so feel free to inbox based on your situation. I hope my introduction has left a positive impression in your mind! I hope to hear from you soon!

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
