Lauren is a passionate educator and an award-winning teacher with a love for bettering our future leaders. Noticing the need to fill the gap for supplemental education services, she naturally gravitated to tutoring and now has several students that she mentors. Seeing this as a movement that goes beyond herself, she started BK Tutoring Sessions to help even more educators connect with students in need. Lauren has over 16 years of experience as an educator which includes work with KIPP Public Charter Schools, Teach for America, Virginia Beach Public Schools, and District of Columbia Public Schools. She has a Bachelors Degree in Sociology with a focus on race, class, and gender from Hampton University, a Masters Degree in Education from Regent University, and an Educational Leadership certification from Longwood University.

Hi Parents! I am an experienced caregiver with over 10 years of childcare experience working with children from ages 0–8. I am available full time and truly enjoy helping children grow, learn, and feel safe in a loving environment. I love spending time with kids doing fun and healthy activities such as going for walks, visiting the playground, going to the library, and doing arts and crafts. I believe in creating a positive, nurturing space where children can explore, play, and develop new skills. I am known for being very kind, patient, loving, and caring with the children I work with. As a proud grandmother of three, I understand how important it is for families to have someone they trust to care for their children. I am first aid and CPR certified and have also attained my 90 clock hour certificate for child care. I am a certified youth athletic trainer, teaching taekwondo,sports, and fitness to ages 3-12.
