I have work in the daycare facilities for over 14 years with 10 years experience as a CDA licensed childcare provider specializing in the care of children ranging in age from newborns to teens. I am CPR and first aide certified with special early child care training. also working towards fulfilling my passion in special-education. My favorite Learning activity to do with the children is the five senses I loved this activity because it gives me a chance to watch the children explore their sense while learning all about their five sense. I also enjoy reading, arts and crafts, and engaging in fun creative indoor/outdoor activities that children will find entertaining and fulfilling. My hobbies are writing poetry, reading books and spending time with my family and friends... working with children is my passion and I loved every bit of it.

Lauren is a passionate educator and an award-winning teacher with a love for bettering our future leaders. Noticing the need to fill the gap for supplemental education services, she naturally gravitated to tutoring and now has several students that she mentors. Seeing this as a movement that goes beyond herself, she started BK Tutoring Sessions to help even more educators connect with students in need. Lauren has over 16 years of experience as an educator which includes work with KIPP Public Charter Schools, Teach for America, Virginia Beach Public Schools, and District of Columbia Public Schools. I have worked in early childhood education since 2015 with experience working with newborns, infants, and toddlers as a teacher, nanny, and healthcare worker. I have also worked one-on-one as a tutor with children ages 7-13. Education includes a B.S. in Psychology and NAEYC-certified infant and toddler Child Development training with CPR and first-aid certification.
