Qamar Maple Grove
$23 per hour for 1 child
Booked by 1 family in Loretto, MN

Hello! I'm Qamar, a 21 year old UMN student living in Maple Grove, Minnesota who’s always had a soft spot for children. I love being sweet and silly with them while overall caring for their wellbeing. My current family is moving to another state soon, so I’m looking to start helping a new family in early June. I don't mind running errands (ex. shopping, returns, car maintenance, etc) so long as gas is reimbursed for far distances. We can also discuss a "household manager" arrangement if you're looking for more than just childcare. My rates range from $22/hr to $28/hr depending on the ages, needs, number of children, and tasks associated with the job. I look forward to potentially meeting you and being your child's safe space!

Olivia Crystal
$20 per hour for 1 child

Hi! I’m Olivia. I’m 25 years old. I’m trying to find a summer nanny job as I’m due in early August. I would love to come back afterwards. I prefer developing relationships and keeping consistency. I have two years studying psychology in hopes of working and helping children in the future. I’ve been working in childcare for about 3 years, primarily with toddlers-prek. I’ve babysat and nannied throughout my highschool and early college years. I’ve traveled with families and have experience working with children on the spectrum. Working in childcare as a lead teacher, I’m used to being with 7-10 kids by myself, with the a whole day of planned of activities. I like to stay busy! I am CPR/first aid certified. I have Nursing Assistant experience as well. I have a one year old myself and would love to take her along to enjoy the activities and to have a playmate or two! I’m very artistic, creative, adventurous and a huge nature person. If I can, I will be outside! I love arts and crafts, going on adventures, and seeing the spark/confidence of kids when they learn. I’m not a technology person as I believe it depletes real learning that comes from experience, play and social skills. I’m willing to do household tasks, cook, help with school and potty training. Let’s chat and we can discuss! Ps. I am not Covid vaccinated nor my daughter-not willing to change that. Thanks for reading this far! I hope you reach out and get to know me further 🥰🙌

Joanie Minneapolis
$20 per hour for 1 child

My name is Joanie Merriman. People would describe me as kind, compassionate, loving, caring and lots of fun! I am very responsible with a high level of integrity. I love people, children, animals and nature above all things. My passions have led me to pursue caregiving, for both humans and animals, as a fulfilling path. As a youth, I went through a childcare program and began babysitting when I was just 12. When I was in my twenties I worked at the San Diego Opera. While there I acted as the in house nanny for all the opera singers that would come through. In addition, I was part time nanny to the General Director’s two boys for six years. I have tons of experience in childcare. Most recently, I’ve cared for my great-niece for the last year since she was just three weeks old. After the Opera, I moved to Los Angeles where I primarily worked in business administration while also doing childcare part time. Babies and children are a passion of mine. They bring me so much joy! I am very playful and attentive; children take to me naturally. In 2007 my big sister was diagnosed with brain cancer. In 2008 I stopped working to be her full time caregiver. I was her primary caregiver for ten years. Over this time, her illness took on many forms. She developed dementia that became so severe I was bathing, changing her diapers and feeding her. I also have cared for my brother who has traumatic brain injury for over fifteen years. He is now in a care home but I still serve as his primary outside of the facility. In addition, I have my 89 year old mother that I am privileged to be able to care for when she is in need of assistance. All of this to say, I am very experienced in the care of children and adults of all ages with both physical and intellectual/neurological disabilities. Since my sister’s passing, I have been self employed doing home organization and resale. However, this has not been fulfilling for me; not enriching of my life. My desire to do more meaningful work has led me to pursue caregiving professionally; that and the urgings of many who site how caring I am and how natural it is for me. Caring for children, adults and animals comes natural for me. I am excited about this move in my life. I look forward to meeting you and learning how I can help care for a loved one(s) in your life. I am certified in infant, child and adult CPR and advanced first aid.

Lello Dayton
$17 per hour for 1 child

Hi! My name is Lello, I'm 20, and I'm a rising junior at Northwestern University but I'm originally from Champlin, MN. I'm offering mainly child care, but I am also open to pet care (cat-sitting specifically), senior care (cooking and driving to appointments primarily), and household services. I have a lot of caretaking experience for people of all ages :) I currently work as a Home Health Aide for 4 senior citizens with behavioral issues and have also been a caretaker for my grandmother who lives with me. Since I was around 12, I have been relied on by aunts and uncles to be the primary babysitter to all the kids in my extended family. I love my little cousins, I love kids in general, and they tend to love me! My responsibilities for them have included watching, cooking, and homework help for infants, toddlers, and kids. I have had a license for 4 years and I can drive clients to and from appointments, school, activities, practice, etc.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
