Mya $20 per hour for 1 child

Hi! I’m Mya, an experienced caregiver with over 4 years working in early childhood education. I’m CPR and First Aid certified and credentialed in Toddlers & Twos and Preschool. I previously worked in corporate childcare centers and in a Reggio Emilia–inspired school environment, which helped shape my belief that children learn best through curiosity, creativity, and exploration. I practice Conscious Discipline and focus on creating a calm, respectful environment where children feel safe, understood, and supported as they grow. Families describe me as patient, attentive, and very understanding. I love incorporating music, movement, and creative play into my time with kids and enjoy planning fun, engaging activities. I’m passionate about building strong connections with children and supporting their development in a nurturing and positive way. I hope to connect with your families!

Calise $20 per hour for 1 child

As a nurturing and experienced childcare provider, I'm eager to support your family and ensure your children's well-being. With over eight years of experience, including roles as camp counselor and children's church teacher, I've honed my skills in caring for children of all ages. My patient and calm demeanor, coupled with my creative and imaginative nature, allows me to connect with children and make their days enjoyable and educational. I believe in fostering open communication with parents, providing regular updates and utilizing their preferred communication method to address any concerns or share daily highlights. While I respect and follow the household rules set by parents, I'm also comfortable engaging children in various games and activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional development, such as outdoor sports, board games, and educational games.

Ann $18 per hour for 1 child

After teaching journalism for 20 years at a Big Ten school, I retired to North Carolina to be closer to my family. However, I find myself missing the interaction with young people and the chance at 'teach moments' whenever those opportunities arise. I am older than some of your care givers but with that comes a varied background, I have worked in radio & TV, choreographed high school musicals, and dance competitions. As for academics, I went all the way up to but did not complete my PhD (babies came along ;). So I have written, and graded academic papers at every level from the high school level through college. In addition, I am currently helping to care for my 89 year old mother, cook part-time at a senior living retirement home and give respite care fo my 21 year old nephew who has a seizure disorder . So I feel I am well qualified to take care of your loved one, no matter their age, while also engaging them in learning activities or their favorite hobbies. Also, I grew up on a small farm so no pet, is too large, small, or exotic for me to give it some TLC while you can't be there. I am happy to do errands, light housekeeping, and homework along with the regular caregiving duties. I am hoping to find something on a regular basis but am wiling to take a job until we make sure we are the right fit for everyone involved

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
