I’m born & raised in Charlotte, NC. I am very active in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg communities, Rec Centers and churches. I enjoy instilling positivity, structure, and educational value in the families I work for lives. I have two children, my son is 17 and my baby girl is 10 years old. My children come from a loving home, filled with faith, pure love, structure, education, and lots of fun/extracurricular activities. I enjoy volunteering in the community, finding all kinds of free fun activities on a weekly basis. I enjoy nature/walking Greenway, activities that require thinking strategically, reading. I’ve worked with kids, youth and families for over 20 years. Most my experience comes from working with children and families within social service programs, outreach centers and private homes care & large facility living/homes. God has geared in a different direction but that allows me time to bless another family with time of a trusted, dependable, honest and responsible mom to care for your kids. Having someone keep your kids is a Huge step. I know the feeling(No one does it like Mom. lol and They wont. But giving the care to someone else you trust allows you that time. Job, work, appts mommy time etc. I Have kept kids for over 15 yrs. Plus I tutor kids reading and Math. I teach part time at Kiser Elementary and when needed. my name is Debbie, I'm a 46 years old grandma of 6, the favorite aunt of all nieces and nephews and adopted grandma of all the kids who know me. ( yeah I don't know why but most kids end up calling me grandma Debbie ☺️) I am an experience sitter and have raised more than just just my own. I'm also a Sunday school teacher and teaching kids songs and playing games with them is my favorite thing to do. when I don't have kids at home I crochet and play with my dog. My education consist on an associate degree in Humanities. However I consider that my most important education came from learning how to be a good mother and friend to my own kids and I think I was successful because now I have 3 grown children who are my pride and joy, well rounded adults who never gave me head or heart aches. Of course, I couldn't have done it without the help and guidance of my Lord Jesus Christ. I'm also have experience caring for special children. Autism and down Syndrome. I'm NOT an expert, but I have experience. I'm also the kind of person who knows to stay calm in an emergency and know what steps have to be taken to handle them. I know CPR and basic first aid.
