I'm from a small town in Southeastern Ohio, but I've lived in Raleigh, North Carolina for over 10 years now. At age ten I acquired my Red Cross Babysitting certificate and started babysitting younger kids. As a youth, I was on the swim team, studied multiple different disciplines of dance, was always in plays and helping with the local theater, and I delivered newspapers 6 days a week in addition to occasional mowing, raking, and snow shoveling around town and also selling baked goods and homemade crafts at the local farmers market. I have been an American Red Cross certified lifeguard and also a swim instructor for the past thirteen years. I have saved hundreds of lives in my role as a lifeguard. In 2018 I was the Head Lifeguard of Sliding Rock in the Pisgah National Forest(Brevard, NC) and saved lives and was in charge of emergency situations, scheduling, and staffing from Memorial day to Labor day. I am very calm and cognizant in emergency situations and am the kind of nanny that is cautious in regards to safety. I have spent many years gaining the trust of my students that are learning how to swim. I'm very good with the younger children and beginners, especially 2-4 year olds. I was a nanny for a family for all of 2021. I took care of three girls, ages 4, 7, and 11 years old, three days a week from 7am to 6pm. They also had 3 dogs, a cat, a bunny, a leopard gecko, and 16 chickens. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to continue to work for them after they moved over an hour away from me. I am still good friends with the family and go visit them at least twice a year, and occasionally still house and pet sit for them. I love children(so much so that I still don't have my own yet) and I love animals. I am very detail oriented and have a gift for maintaining many small details, as I've also worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years in addition to my 13+ years in aquatics with 9 of those years in aquatic management. Nannying is rewarding for me and provides me with skills I will use in my future. I'd love to get to know your family and hopefully get to be a small part of your journey of raising your kids, happy and healthy! 😊

Madeline has been helping us take care of our 10-month-old son for the last month. Since the beginning she has been dependable and we are satisfied with her work. She is very punctual, prioritizes our son's safety (he's currently in his crawling stage), proactive, and has good attention to detail. She leaves everything cleaned and organized at the end of the day. Happy to hire her again.

Hello, wonderful families! 👋 I’m a bilingual mom of two grown daughters with over 16 years of experience in early childhood and special needs education. My passion is bringing learning to life through play, curiosity, and a bit of magic—just like Ms. Frizzle! I enjoy guiding young children through daily adventures. I’m excited to offer your family a nurturing, playful, and educational environment. I’m also fluent in Spanish and eager to support your child’s bilingual journey. I have early childhood development experience and can help with helping reach age appropriate milestones. I’d love to bring a spark of curiosity and joy to your home. Plus, I’m also available to travel with your family if you need a nanny for a vacation weekend or trip. Let’s make every day a little more magical together! 🌟

Fancy is THE PERFECT nanny/babysitter/teacher/seriously ALL OF the above! She is a licensed teacher and she has been a nanny with my toddler son since June 2025 when he was 2y.o. until end of Feb 2026 3y.o. She has seen EVERY challenge with him. He was born a micro preemie with developmental delays ranging from speech, OT, PT and feeding and she has literally helped him grow leaps and bounds through it all! This is not an exaggeration. We love Fancy so much (and all of our therapists see why!) and the only reason she isn't with our son anymore is because he is old enough now to be encouraged to go to daycare and be in an environment with children since he doesn't have that otherwise. It was really difficult for us to part ways (but she will always be the ideal person we contact for any day or night we need someone to watch him). She is worth more than her rates. Truly. You won't be disappointed because she is such a bright ray of light and your child will FEEL that warmth from her. She would be like the favorite teacher your child will never forget. She is for my son. Such a wonderful person inside and out. Always communicative and punctual. Respectful, flexible, and transparent. LOVE her.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
