Booked by 12 families in Wake Forest, NC

I'm from a small town in Southeastern Ohio, but I've lived in Raleigh, North Carolina for over 10 years now. At age ten I acquired my Red Cross Babysitting certificate and started babysitting younger kids. As a youth, I was on the swim team, studied multiple different disciplines of dance, was always in plays and helping with the local theater, and I delivered newspapers 6 days a week in addition to occasional mowing, raking, and snow shoveling around town and also selling baked goods and homemade crafts at the local farmers market. I have been an American Red Cross certified lifeguard and also a swim instructor for the past thirteen years. I have saved hundreds of lives in my role as a lifeguard. In 2018 I was the Head Lifeguard of Sliding Rock in the Pisgah National Forest(Brevard, NC) and saved lives and was in charge of emergency situations, scheduling, and staffing from Memorial day to Labor day. I am very calm and cognizant in emergency situations and am the kind of nanny that is cautious in regards to safety. I have spent many years gaining the trust of my students that are learning how to swim. I'm very good with the younger children and beginners, especially 2-4 year olds. I was a nanny for a family for all of 2021. I took care of three girls, ages 4, 7, and 11 years old, three days a week from 7am to 6pm. They also had 3 dogs, a cat, a bunny, a leopard gecko, and 16 chickens. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to continue to work for them after they moved over an hour away from me. I am still good friends with the family and go visit them at least twice a year, and occasionally still house and pet sit for them. I love children(so much so that I still don't have my own yet) and I love animals. I am very detail oriented and have a gift for maintaining many small details, as I've also worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years in addition to my 13+ years in aquatics with 9 of those years in aquatic management. Nannying is rewarding for me and provides me with skills I will use in my future. I'd love to get to know your family and hopefully get to be a small part of your journey of raising your kids, happy and healthy! 😊

Madeline has been helping us take care of our 10-month-old son for the last month. Since the beginning she has been dependable and we are satisfied with her work. She is very punctual, prioritizes our son's safety (he's currently in his crawling stage), proactive, and has good attention to detail. She leaves everything cleaned and organized at the end of the day. Happy to hire her again.

Linda Raleigh
$18 per hour for 1 child

Hi, my name is Linda and I have been a nanny for 29 years and have helped many families raise their children, from infants to ten years old. I have four cats and one dog which are treated like our children. I love caring for infants and toddlers. I don’t mind doing some housework and the child’s laundry when taking a nap. I love going for walks and playing at the child’s level, playing dolls or playing with trucks and cars. I even help looking for bugs with one of the little boy I was caring for. I also like going to the pool and parks. I have cared for over 30 children over the years and at all ages. I just finished my last job in March. I have my CPR certification and a clean driving license. If you’re interested in me, please feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience. Thank you, Linda

Chandler Raleigh
$21 per hour for 1 child

I’ve spent several years in education and childcare, and I’m especially drawn to the toddler and preschool years, where everything is new, exciting, and full of possibility. My background in teaching has given me a strong understanding of early childhood development, classroom structure, and how to turn everyday moments into meaningful learning experiences. I love planning hands-on activities, encouraging language development, and supporting social-emotional growth through play. I’m always intentional about creating a safe, nurturing environment where children feel confident and cared for. Families describe me as patient, engaging, and calm under pressure. I value open communication with parents and enjoy partnering with families to support their child’s unique personality and needs. I’d love the opportunity to connect and see if I’d be a great fit for your family!

Nyah Raleigh
$20 per hour for 1 child

Hi! I'm Nyah, and I'm a reliable, patient, and energetic nanny who believes childhood should be full of laughter, learning, and a little bit of harmless mess (the kind that's easy to clean up!). I love creating fun, engaging days with kids—whether we're building blanket forts, reading the same favorite book for the hundredth time, tackling homework, or heading outside for adventures. I'm happy to help with meals, routines, and keeping things running smoothly while making sure your little ones feel safe, supported, and cared for. I take my responsibilities seriously, but I also believe a good sense of humor makes every day a little brighter. I value open communication with parents and will always treat your children with the same care, kindness, and respect that I'd want for my own family.

"We absolutely LOVE Isa — our family was so fortunate to have found her through UrbanSitter. I'm a first-time mom, and it took me a long time to find a full-time nanny I could trust to care for our sweet infant boy. Our boy connected with her immediately, and we couldn't have asked for anyone else to care for him. Her calming presence was also perfect for parents like us who work from home. We feel so lucky UrbanSitter helped us find someone who has truly become a part of our family."

"I was so stressed about finding a part-time nanny for my 14-month-old son, who has moderate separation anxiety and hadn't been left with anyone but family before, but we were both immediately at ease in Buhay's presence. Her empathy and commitment to understanding child development are apparent in every interaction I've witnessed between her and my toddler. I feel very lucky to have found her."

"Erna watched our now 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son for a few years. She is punctual, responsible, honest, and playful. What we appreciated most was that she was thoughtful in ensuring that we had a little break; for example, when the kids were clingy, she was able to divert their attention with games or songs or walks to the park. We felt very comfortable leaving our kids with Erna because of her caring nature and experience that spans a decade (including being a live-in nanny)."
