Hello! My name is Maiya and I have experience as a preschool teacher, full time nanny, and as a house manager. I have been caring for children for almost 10 years, and have worked with infants as young as 3 months old, toddlers, school aged children, and teens. I love being a positive person in a child’s life and getting to watch them learn and grow! Aside from childcare, my other duties and responsibilities have included housekeeping, laundry, meal prep, pet care, swimming supervision, overnight care, traveling with families, running errands, school pick up and drop off, bedtime routines, and more. I am currently studying a nursing, and I have hands-on experience caring for children of different ages, including a 14-month-old boy, a 6-year-old girl with special needs, and a 6-month-old baby girl. This experience has taught me how to be patient, calm, and flexible, since each child has different needs and routines. I’m also CPR certified, which gives me confidence to take care of a child and always keeping children safe.
